The atmosphere in Devansh's penthouse shifted as the initial excitement of the signing subsided. With Rajesh stepping out to give them some privacy, the tension hung thick in the air, intermingled with the promise of something beautiful yet fragile.

Devansh turned to Saanvi, a mixture of emotions swirling within him. "Can I show you something?" he asked, his voice steady yet inviting.

Saanvi nodded, curiosity sparking in her eyes. "Of course. What is it?"

He gestured for her to follow him as he led her toward his bedroom, the door subtly adorned with intricate carvings that spoke to the grandeur of his lifestyle. As he opened the door, he motioned for her to step inside. The room was elegantly furnished, filled with warm hues and soft lighting that cast a romantic glow.

Once inside, Devansh moved to a polished wooden chest at the foot of the bed and opened it. The delicate sound of velvet against wood filled the air as he pulled out a small, ornate box. It was beautifully crafted, gilded edges shimmering under the light.

"What's that?" Saanvi asked, her heart racing in anticipation.

"This is something special," Devansh replied, lifting the lid to reveal a stunning gold chain adorned with a diamond ring. The ring sparkled brilliantly, catching the light in a way that made it appear alive. "This is your wedding ring."

Saanvi's breath hitched as she took in the sight of the exquisite piece. "It's beautiful," she murmured, her fingers brushing against the chain and ring, feeling the cool metal against her skin.

Devansh smiled, appreciating her reaction. "But I want you to wear it around your neck, not on your finger," he suggested, watching her closely.

"Why not on my finger? Isn't that the traditional way?" she asked, a hint of confusion coloring her voice.

"Yes, it is," he acknowledged, his expression turning serious. "But given my... circumstances, it might attract unwanted attention. You are an important figure, and I don't want anyone to connect you to me yet, especially given the threats we might face."

Saanvi understood the weight of his words. In this world of power struggles and hidden dangers, discretion was paramount. "I see your point. I just—" She paused, her heart fluttering at the thought of wearing something so meaningful yet hidden. "I want to honor the tradition, Devansh."

He stepped closer, his eyes softening as he placed the chain around her neck, letting the diamond ring rest against her collarbone. "This way, you can carry a part of our commitment with you, close to your heart. It's a symbol of our bond, a secret just between us."

As the chain settled against her skin, Saanvi felt a rush of warmth spread through her. The weight of the ring felt significant, a reminder of the promises they had made. "Thank you," she whispered, meeting his gaze.

Devansh's fingers lingered on the clasp as he secured it, his touch gentle and protective. "You deserve to feel special, Saanvi. This is just the beginning of our journey together."

For a moment, they stood there, caught in a shared silence filled with unspoken promises and the thrill of new beginnings. Saanvi could see the depth of his feelings in his eyes, the resolve to protect what was theirs, and it stirred something within her.

"I'm nervous, Devansh," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "This is all so sudden. What if I can't live up to the expectations?"

Devansh took a step back, placing his hands on her shoulders, grounding her with his presence. "You don't have to be anyone other than yourself. I chose you because of who you are—your kindness, your strength, and your spirit. That's what matters to me."

His words wrapped around her like a warm embrace, dispelling some of her doubts. "I want to be the best partner I can be for you and Saira."

"You already are," he assured her, a sincere smile breaking through the intensity of the moment. "And together, we'll navigate whatever comes our way."

Saanvi smiled back, her heart swelling with hope and determination. With the chain around her neck, she felt an unbreakable bond form between them, a promise forged in the fire of uncertainty.

As they stood together in the softly lit room, a sense of calm settled over Saanvi. The future was still uncertain, but with Devansh by her side, she felt ready to face it all.

"Now, how about we go and find Saira?" Devansh suggested, his eyes lighting up with excitement. "I think she's going to love the new family we're building."

Saanvi nodded, her spirits lifted. "Yes, let's go!"

Hand in hand, they exited the room, stepping into a new chapter of their lives, one filled with love, commitment, and the promise of a future together.
