The room was dim, the only light coming from the glow of the laptop screen casting a sharp outline across Devansh's face. His jaw was set, eyes intense as he reviewed every detail of the security plan on the screen. Across from him sat Rajesh, his most trusted advisor and loyal friend, studying Devansh's expression.

"Are you certain about this?" Rajesh finally asked, his tone careful but questioning.

Devansh's gaze didn't waver. "We don't have a choice. Saanvi and Saira have become targets, and I can't afford to take any risks with their lives," he said, his voice low but firm.

Rajesh nodded, glancing down at the file in his hands. "Understood. I'll make all the arrangements for a quiet relocation. There will be no trace of them, no records of travel that could give any leads. I'll assign my best security team, and I have someone specific in mind to lead it—Kabir, one of my most trusted men."

Devansh looked thoughtful for a moment, nodding in agreement. "Good. I need people I can trust. Kabir's perfect for this. His loyalty is unquestionable."

Rajesh made a few notes on his tablet. "I'll set up the details for the move by tomorrow night. I recommend sending them through multiple, less obvious routes. It'll take longer, but the secrecy is worth it."

Devansh leaned back, the weight of the decision pressing on him. "Do it, Rajesh. Make sure they're safe, at any cost." His voice softened slightly, the slightest hint of vulnerability slipping through his otherwise steely exterior.

Rajesh's eyes met Devansh's, a silent understanding passing between them. "I'll see to it personally. And don't worry—Kabir will keep me informed at every step."

After Rajesh left, Devansh made his way upstairs to where Saanvi was sitting with Saira. The little girl was busy with her coloring book, happily unaware of the looming tension that gripped the household. Saanvi looked up as Devansh entered, her expression a mix of concern and curiosity.

Devansh sat down beside her, his hand reaching out to brush a strand of hair behind her ear. "Saanvi, I need you to listen carefully," he began, his tone gentle but serious. "I'm arranging for you and Saira to go somewhere safe—far from here. My enemies may know about our connection, and I can't let them harm either of you."

Saanvi's eyes widened slightly, realization dawning on her. "You're sending us away? But... what about you? And what will people think? I..." She faltered, her gaze drifting to Saira, who was still immersed in her drawings.

Devansh placed a hand on her shoulder, looking into her eyes. "This isn't forever, Saanvi. Just until things settle down and I can secure everything here. I'll be joining you both once it's safe again. But right now, I need you to take care of Saira. She means everything to me, and so do you."

Saanvi nodded, understanding the gravity of his words. "I'll protect her. I promise," she whispered, her own strength and determination rising to meet his.

Satisfied, Devansh turned his attention to Saira, who looked up at him with a bright smile, her tiny hands lifting her coloring book to show him her latest creation.

"Papa! Look, I made a picture for you!" she said proudly, showing him a page filled with colorful scribbles. It was messy, an explosion of colors and shapes, but to Devansh, it was perfect.

"Wow, Saira, that's amazing! You're getting better every day," he praised, ruffling her hair affectionately.

Saira beamed, her eyes sparkling with pride. "Can we play a game, Papa?"

"Of course, princess. What do you want to play?" he asked, setting aside his worries for a moment, focusing solely on his daughter.

"Hide and seek!" she announced, giggling as she hopped off her chair and ran to hide behind the sofa.

Devansh chuckled, glancing at Saanvi, who offered him a small, encouraging smile. Taking a deep breath, he joined Saira in their game, counting aloud as she darted from one hiding spot to the next, her laughter echoing through the room.

For that brief span of time, he allowed himself to enjoy the innocent happiness in his daughter's laughter, pushing aside the shadows that loomed in the background. This was why he was doing everything, why he was sending them away. They were his reason, his strength, and his purpose.

When the game finally wound down, he scooped Saira up in his arms, holding her close. "You know, you're my brave little princess, right?" he whispered, his voice filled with warmth.

Saira nodded sleepily, her head resting against his shoulder. "Will you be with us, Papa?"

"Yes, Saira. I'll always be with you," he said softly, kissing her forehead. He glanced over at Saanvi, who was watching them with an understanding look, silently supporting him even through her own apprehension.

As he placed Saira down in her bed and tucked her in, he felt the resolve harden within him. He would protect them, no matter what it took, no matter the cost. And one day soon, they would all be together again—safe, without the shadows that now followed them.
