The penthouse was quiet, a welcome contrast to the chaos they had faced just hours earlier. Devansh had secured every door and window, but the real safety he craved was found in the warmth of Saanvi's presence. He could still feel the adrenaline coursing through his veins, but it was slowly being replaced by a comforting calmness now that they were together.

As he entered their bedroom, he noticed Saanvi standing by the window, looking out at the city skyline. The fading sunlight cast a warm glow on her face, illuminating the concern etched in her features. Devansh felt a pull toward her, an instinct to draw her into his arms and shield her from the world outside.

"Saanvi," he called softly, his voice low and soothing. She turned to him, and a small smile broke through her worry as he stepped closer.

In one swift movement, Devansh wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her tightly against him. The tension in her shoulders eased as she leaned into him, seeking the comfort that only he could provide. Their hearts beat in sync as they stood there, enveloped in the warmth of each other's embrace.

"I'm so glad you're safe," Saanvi whispered against his chest, her voice muffled but filled with emotion. "After everything... I was so scared."

"I'm here now," he reassured her, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of her head. "Nothing will come between us. Not now, not ever."

As they lingered in their embrace, Devansh felt a wave of gratitude wash over him. The world outside felt far away, and in this moment, all that mattered was the woman in his arms. He reluctantly pulled away, needing to change out of the bloodstained shirt from the confrontation earlier.

As he unbuttoned his shirt, Saanvi's gaze fell to his abdomen, her eyes widening at the sight of a deep cut near his lower abdomen, partially obscured by his jeans. Without thinking, she reached out, her fingers grazing the skin around the injury. "Devansh, what happened?" she asked, concern flooding her voice.

He shrugged it off, trying to keep the mood light despite the worry in her eyes. "It's nothing serious. Just a scratch from the fight earlier." But he could see the way her brow furrowed, the way her concern deepened.

"You need to be more careful!" Saanvi exclaimed, her voice rising slightly. "You can't just ignore this. It looks painful." She traced the outline of the cut with her fingers, her touch delicate and soft. The intimacy of the moment sent a shiver down his spine, even as he felt the sting of the injury.

"Really, Saanvi, it's nothing I can't handle," he replied, attempting to sound casual. Yet, the way her fingers lingered on his skin sent warmth flooding through him. He couldn't help but feel a strange sense of comfort in her concern, a reminder of the bond they were forging together amidst the chaos.

Saanvi looked up at him, her eyes filled with determination. "I won't let you brush this off. You need to take care of yourself, Devansh. You're not just a mafia king or a CEO; you're a father and a husband, and you have to stay strong for us."

Her words struck a chord deep within him, and for a moment, the walls he had built around his emotions began to crumble. He stepped closer, cupping her face in his hands. "You're right. I promise I'll be more careful, but I need you to promise me something too."

"What?" she asked, tilting her head slightly, curiosity sparkling in her eyes.

"Promise me that you won't worry so much. I'll do everything to protect our family. You just focus on keeping Saira safe, okay?"

Saanvi nodded slowly, a small smile breaking through her concern. "I promise, but only if you promise to let me help you too. We're a team, remember?"

"Always," he replied, sealing their pact with a gentle kiss. As their lips met, Devansh felt a surge of affection, a reminder that amidst the danger and chaos, their love was a refuge.

Breaking the kiss, he rested his forehead against hers, taking a deep breath. "Now, how about we clean this up? I don't want you worrying about me any longer."

Saanvi smiled, a mix of relief and affection in her gaze. "I'll get the first aid kit. You just sit tight, Mr. Choudhary. I'm taking care of you tonight."

With that, she turned to fetch the supplies, and as she moved about the room, Devansh couldn't help but admire her. In the midst of uncertainty and danger, she brought light into his life. Together, they would face whatever came their way, one step at a time.
