Devansh paced the dimly lit warehouse, his heart pounding in his chest. The air was thick with tension as he awaited the arrival of the woman who had haunted his nightmares for years. Suman Choudhary, his mother, was finally here, and he was determined to confront her. This wasn't about familial ties anymore; this was about the choices she had made and the lives she had shattered.

When she stepped into the warehouse, clad in a sleek black coat that hugged her form, Devansh felt a wave of conflicting emotions wash over him. She looked almost regal, yet there was a darkness in her eyes that mirrored the chaos of their past. He couldn't allow himself to feel anything other than anger and betrayal.

"Suman Choudhary," he said, his voice laced with venom. "Why are you doing this? Why now?"

She regarded him coolly, her lips curling into a faint smirk. "Ah, Devansh. Always so dramatic. You know, I didn't expect you to grow into such a formidable man. But you've always been stubborn. You remind me so much of your father."

The mention of his father ignited a fire within him. "Don't bring him into this. He's dead because of you. Because of your choices!"

Suman took a step closer, her expression shifting from amusement to something more serious. "I did what I had to do for my son, Raghav Malhotra."

Devansh's heart raced at the name. "Raghav Malhotra? What does he have to do with any of this?"

Her eyes darkened, and for a moment, he saw the pain buried beneath her cold facade. "Everything, Devansh. Arjun Rathore killed Shrikanth Singhania when I was two months pregnant. Shrikanth was my lover, the man I thought I could trust, but he betrayed Arjun, and I lost everything."

Devansh stood there, stunned, as the pieces began to fall into place. The hatred he had felt for Suman started to morph into something else—understanding? "So, you changed Raghav's name to Malhotra to hide the truth? To protect him?"

"Exactly." Her voice dropped to a whisper, and he could see the pain etched in her features. "I had to protect my child from the fallout of his father's betrayal. If anyone found out who he truly was, they would hunt him down, just like they hunted Shrikanth. Raghav deserves a chance at life without the shadows of our past."

Devansh clenched his jaw, grappling with the implications of her words. "And this is why you're trying to manipulate everything? To set Raghav on a path of revenge?"

Suman nodded, her expression softening slightly. "I'm doing this for him, Devansh. He's lost without a father. I want him to reclaim what's rightfully his. And if that means creating chaos in your life, so be it."

"You're willing to hurt innocent people, to drag them into this mess?" Devansh's voice rose, fueled by anger. "Saanvi and Saira have nothing to do with your past!"

"You think I don't know that?" she shot back, her voice sharp. "I'm trying to give Raghav the power he needs. You understand power, don't you? You're a king in your own right, a position I was denied."

"I won't let you use my family to achieve your goals," Devansh declared, his eyes narrowing. "You're not going to drag them into your revenge scheme. I'll do whatever it takes to keep them safe."

Suman laughed softly, a chilling sound that echoed through the empty warehouse. "You think you can stop me? I'm his mother. You have no idea the lengths I will go to protect my son."

The confrontation hung heavy in the air, an unyielding battle of wills. Devansh's heart raced as he realized that this was more than just a family feud; it was a war. A war he was determined to win, no matter the cost.

"You think you're protecting Raghav, but you're only leading him down a dark path," he said firmly. "And I will stop you."

As Suman turned to leave, a fleeting shadow of sadness crossed her features, but it was gone before he could register it. "Just remember, Devansh. I'm not the enemy you think I am. I'm doing what I must for my son."

With that, she slipped back into the darkness from which she had emerged, leaving Devansh standing alone, the weight of the truth bearing down on him. He had always viewed her as the villain in his story, but now he realized the tangled web of betrayal and love that surrounded their family. The battle lines were drawn, and he wouldn't back down. Not now. Not ever.
