13 -Pranks and Potions

Delilah's POV:

I woke in the morning with the note and our midnight conversation on my mind, as I got dressed in my school uniform. I chose some straight cut black slacks that fit perfectly around my waist and hips, a white button down, my Slytherin tie, Sebastian's oversized vest unbuttoned of course, and my classic school robes. I was satisfied with my outfit as I pulled my long wavy hair into a high pony tail, pulling out some of my baby hairs to frame my face. I looked over at Imelda who decided to go with the shorter skirt look and sweater over her button up and tie. I threw my old leather back pack over my shoulder and walk to the common room with her. My eyes scanned looking for Sebastian, but with no luck finding him.

"Want to head to breakfast?" She asked as I looked around, the mention of food made my stomach grumble.

"Definitely, I forgot to eat last night with all the excitement of seeing you and Able." I told her laughing.

The two of us head to the great hall, catching up about everything. When we walked in I saw Able and Sebastian just chatting and eating like it's something they had always done.

"Delilah!" I heard my name and turned to see Fred Weasley waving me down. I walked over with caution knowing the twins, there's always trick up their sleeve. "George and I got some prank chocolates in, and we're wanting to know if you'd be interested in one of the greatest beginning of the year pranks."

I leaned in close, "I'm all ears." I watched as their faces lit up.

"We need you to deliver these," George showed me a pretty heart box, "to Draco 'from Imelda' of course." He finished telling me with a wicked smirk.

"He's the one with platinum blonde hair?" They both nodded enthusiastically. "I think I can do one better, but consider it my mission." I mirrored their smirks in return. As I stood up I noticed Sebastian's eyes on me, I gave him a wave as I walked toward our table with a smile.

"What was that about?" Imelda asked with a giggle, "with those two it's probably trouble." I chuckled in response and whispered their plan to her with my own personal tweak. "I'll definitely give him the chocolates myself, if it's from their shop." She told me laughing.

"What's so funny?" Able looked between the two of us confused. I could feel Sebastian's eyes staring at me trying to get a read.

"You'll see." I said smirking as Imelda took off to talk to Draco. She handed him the box and gave him a kiss on the cheek to seal the deal. "Oh she's good."

When she walked back she slowly started rushing me out the door. "I don't want to be here when he tries those." She said hurriedly, I gave Sebastian and Able an apologetic wave.

"See you two in class." I yelled back at them while being pushed out the door.

Imelda and I made our way to potions laughing and carrying on. We were the first ones in there so we got to choose which potion station to set up at. You found a four person station in a little alcove by the windows on the right side of the class room.

"So what's the plan with Sebastian today?" She asked me with a raised eye brow.

"To what are you referring? We have classes all day." I said knowing what she meant after reading that note. Before she could answer the boys came in and take the other spots at our potions table just in time for everyone to start filling in for class. Sebastian took the station beside mine giving me a bright smile that would bring girls to their knees.

"Nice vest," He said with a smirk, "What was up a breakfast this morning?" He asked leaning close.

"The Twins wanted to prank a boy who has a crush on Imelda and I figured I could get her to do it herself." I looked around noticing there's now far more people in the class, Ann really made an impact on the time line. "I didn't realize how big of an impact Ann had made, there's so many more students here than I ever remembered."

"Ann's just that kind of person, she ran around all summer setting people up with their crushes, she tried to get me with a few people, but you know me." He snickered giving me joking wink.

"Do I though? We've only know each other four days." I teased him as he made a dramatically hurt face. "You're too handsome for your own good." I laughed, before Sebastian could retort the Twins walked over.

"Oh you are brilliant Delilah." George said putting his arm over my shoulder laughing.

"Imelda you are the best." Fred said throwing his arm around her. "I think we could pull off the best pranks with the two of you."

"Pranks of course, but don't expect this friendship to carry over to quidditch." Imelda said staring them both down.

"Wouldn't want it any other way." Fred said with a grin.

"Of course not," George agreed, "thank you for your help ladies we will be in touch over our next prank." They both hurried to find their seat as the professor walked in.

"Hello class I am your new potions teacher, Professor Slughorn. To those of you interested in extra curriculars please stay after class. Until then I will be having you brew an Invisibility Potion," the class just stared at him, "it's in your books go ahead and get started." He waved all of us off and went to his desk.

I looked at the others at our station with wide eyes. "Did he just?" The others just nodded except Sebastian.

"Is this not what they usually do? Professor Sharp also just turned us loose with the book." He stated with a shrug, and began his potion. I looked over at him as he was concentrating, looking as his brow furrowed with each instruction.

Sebastian and I finished our potions about the same time, and tested our potions on a feather to see if it works. Even following our books anymore can be catastrophic as they had found out 20 years ago when a kid went invisible for half the year.

Professor Slughorn tested our potions a second time, "I'd like to talk to you two in my office." Sebastian and I looked at each other and followed him into the small office in the corner. "Those potions were perfect and I'd like if you would consider joining my social club, with your intelligence and family ties I feel it would be most beneficial." We looked at each other unsure or what to say.

"Both of us right?" Sebastian clarified. Slughorn nodded enthusiastically. "I'm in if you are." He was looking at me for an answer.

"Why not." I said with a light hearted laugh.

"Splendid, look for my owl. The two of you can have the rest of the period off."

The two of us walk out of his office, I took a deep breath. "That's a little intimidating." Sebastian nodded and grabbed ahold of my hand.

"I'd like to show you something." I could see the excitement in his eyes, and give him a bright smile. Everyone watched as the two of us practically ran out of the class room.
