As the village has started to come to life by the rising sun, the birds started singing their morning songs as the sun had started to rise to from the mountains and the faint silver of the moon could hardly be seen in the morning sky. As the sun had started to rise from the golden and blue sky, the people of the small village had started to awakening and get ready to start their day. The adults had started heading towards nearby cafés or started heading towards work. The teenagers had started working their morning jobs or meeting up with each other in their favorite hangout spots. While the kids had started helping their parents, playing with their older siblings or playing with their pets. But watching all of this was a tall and slender girl watching it all from the branch of the tree and she was revealed as the sunlight shone down on her.
The girl is revealed to be Nora Archer.
She was holding some riding equipment and started searching for a horse to ride when she heard a familiar, shrill whinny from an excited mare. At first, Nora flinched sensitively of the sound, but something in the horse's eyes reassured her. Her eyes were so mild. The same brown as owls and tree hollows. She seemed to be studying her, as though she could see straight through the girl. Her fear was replaced with amusement.
She smirked as she walked towards the Friesian mare and placed the riding equipment on the stall. She is black as the starless night sky, while her mane and tail is darker than her coat, but she has a single white star on her forehead.
"Hey Hope." The mare whinnied to Nora. "Ready for a ride?"
A pair of hooves splashed through a puddle and the eager sound of laughter was heard. Galloping into the depths of the forest was Nora riding on Hope racing through the forest. A little cluster of light rain clouds had passed through the evening, dampening the ground and filling the air with the scent of fresh rain. The distant mountains were delicately sprinkled with the fading mist from the rain, like faint white frosting on cake slices.
They were running together, as though they're one and the same. Nora felt the wind whooshed through her. She was intensely aware of Hope's movements underneath her. She felt herself smiling and Hope let out a loud whinny. Nora raised herself up slightly as the grassy ground disappeared underneath them for a bit. Hope had leapt over a log. She felt her hair flowed behind her and her stomach lurched. She almost felt as if she and the mare were both flying. She tightened her grip on the reins and Hope slowed down for a moment, long enough for her to regain her balance again and calm down her excitement. Nora took a deep breath, calming herself down and nodded to Hope, who nickered softly with an excited look and they continued the ride.
It wasn't long till she rode Hope into the nearby forest. A dense forest with colorful birds fluttering amongst the towering trees, stretched far to the east. Sunbeams cascaded out of the forest and over the meadows. In the distance, the trees almost seemed like an orchard that was planted long ago. To her left, a dense forest stretched out unbroken, except the paths made by the deer and other woodland critters. She saw a slender deer trail, winding like an endless and waterless stream along the forest floor.
She galloped onto the trails that carried them even farther away from the regular trail. The winding paths were flanked by grassy green hills, and Nora could barely make out the sky and hardly any sunlight dappled the forest floor as they continued the ride.
The wind in Nora's face was in the same rhythm with Hope's steady and quick breathing. Suddenly, in the middle of the deepest part of the woods, a clearing carpeted with soft grass had opened up. The clearing was bathed in a warm, golden sunlight. There was a slightly bent tree with branches going over a huge, flat stone.
Nora raised herself up slightly as the grassy ground disappeared underneath them for a bit. Hope had leapt over a stone. She felt her hair flowed behind her and her stomach lurched. She almost felt as if she and the mare were both flying.
But she suddenly heard a horn being blown: it was sharp, clear, and valiant.
It can't be, thought Nora wondrously. It's Susan's horn!
The sound of the horn had startled Nora and something around her has changed. She watched as the world swirled around her, breaking apart. The pinching moved from her skin to her very instinct; pulling her, dragging her forward... and with a startled Hope. Suddenly, her mare came to a stop and reared frantically as Nora held Hope's neck, whirling through some stream of magic. At one point, her heart felt like it was being ripped out of her chest and black spots obscured her vision. More twisting and, as suddenly as it started, Nora blinked her eyes and she's still on Hope beneath a canopy of trees.
"What just happened?" asked Nora as she took in their surroundings around them and wasn't sure what to make of it.
As she looked around, she was stunned to remember what unique landscape she has landed on was Narnia. But the more she had looked around, she could see stunning changes. The Dryads had gone silent and no sight of any familiar Narnians have been seen in the woods. Not just that, Nora could that she was wearing a soft dark green tunic with a leather brown vest, tightly fitted at the top with a row of buttons down one side and a flared two-toned skirt, along with a pair of dark grayish-blue leggings. But strapped to her side was a brown sword belt with her transformed sword and on her back was her archery bow and quiver of arrows. She also has in combat brown boots and a pair of medium-sized silvery-gray wristbands on her wrists. She also has on a long red cloak with the crest of Narnia.
Nora was surprised to hear the fierce cry of a great falcon. She looked up at the falcon as he landed lightly on tree branch, his piercing eyes were on her. One look from his face and she'll know that the Falcon could speak.
"Noble Falcon, what has become of Narnia?" Nora asked Falcon. "I speak as the Warrior of Narnia, with the name Nora Archer the Steadfast."
The Falcon nodded understandingly. "Over thirteen thousand years have passed when you and the Four Royal Siblings have disappeared. The Telmarines has took that to their advantage and killed many innocent citizens." Nora gasped, horrified and shocked by the news. "The survivors hid themselves in the depths of the woods whilst leaving behind their descendants." Nora felt her heart ached for Amaya, Oreius, Hunta, and Kiba.
"But why was I suddenly summoned back to Narnia?" Nora asked the Falcon.
"Prince Caspian the Tenth of that name has been chased out by his power-hungry uncle," replied the Falcon. "Prince Caspian has blown the Gentle Queen's hunting horn when he was being chased out of his home. You're not the only one who has been summoned. The Kings and Queens of Old have been rumored that they have returned to Narnia and are going to join the rebellion with Prince Caspian."
"Where are they now?" Nora asked him.
The Falcon shrugged, as much as a bird could shrug. "I'm not sure yet. But I've heard whispers about a midnight raid on the Telmarine Castle."
Nora hummed thoughtfully, but she felt a bad feeling about this situation. "Looks like we have to help them out." She gazed at the Falcon. "What are you called Noble Falcon?"
"I'm called Sharpshooter, Lady Warrior." The Falcon bowed his head to her.
"Sharpshooter." Nora smiled at him. "Do you mind being an eye in the sky?"
"How come Lady Warrior?" Sharpshooter asked Nora.
She smiled at him, but a look of steadfast courage and determination could be sense from her as she was the great Warrior of Narnia. "Because we're going to help save Narnia and put the right King on the throne."
