The night of the raid was extremely dark and shadowy. The moon has been blocked by the dark thunderclouds, as were the stars. A downpour of rain rained down from the stormy skies. Dark storm clouds swirled in the sky, rumbling with powerful thunder overhead.
Torrents of rain poured down onto the woods of the west. The raindrops sounded like pebbles beating the ground. Dark storm clouds swirled in the sky, flickering with silent lightning and rumbling with powerful thunder. The air was humid, that some of the clouds that hung in the sky. All the animals were huddled in their nests and dens, sleeping through the night with hopes that tomorrow's sun will bring back the warmth to the world. The only creatures that dared be out tonight were the fuzzy rabbits that munched on the leaves, not worrying about predators that might snatch them away, and a few skittering field mice, searching desperately for spare shriveled berries on the forest floor.
But in the shadows was a cloaked person, looking up at the stormy night sky. Their features were hidden underneath their dark cloak. They were watching and waiting for their winged friend.
A fierce cry was heard on the stormy wind.
That's the signal for trouble.
It's time to make themself known.Trapped within the Castle of the Telmarines was half of the Narnia Army. Rainstone knew that there won't be a last minute rescue for either him or his comrades. The sight of his family and friends have been imprinted into his mind before the drawbridge has been closed. At least they are safe from harm's way.
Rainstone and his comrades both turned around to see a cloud of arrows flying towards them. But a great yell was heard, a silvery sphere had appeared and had stopped the flying arrows from hitting them. The arrows fell onto the floor motionless. The separated army watched as the silvery sphere disappeared from all around them.
He looked around with wary curiosity, searching for the savior. Rainstone's eyes soon landed on a single equestrian figure as the rider encouraged their horse to step forward into a patch of silvery moonlight and underneath the new five Stars of Narnia.
The brave rider's cloak shone a dazzling red in the silvery light. But it has the symbol of the old Narnia Era in the color of gold.
The Narnians were amazed to see the equestrian figure had revealed their mysterious identity to the Narnians. The identity of the equestrian figure was Nora Archer the Steadfast, the First Warrior of Narnia. The legends about her were well-known as the Kings and Queens of Old Narnia. Nobody has ever forgotten about any of them, even after they had mysteriously disappeared without a trace. Rainstone and his younger brothers had heard many stories and tales about Nora. Stories about her were spread by their late ancestor, Oreius.
"Come on!" Nora's voice was fierce and steadfast as the stormy wind in the midst of summer. "We don't have much time!"
"Listen to my older sister!" cried out her fearless steed, her voice strong and steady as winds of a storm.
As Nora encouraged her mare to start galloping, all of the trapped Narnians started following the Warrior of Narnia. She led them up some staircases to the rooftops of the kingdom. Many people had woken up to see the Warrior of Narnia rescuing the original trapped Narnians.
Nora felt the wind whooshed through her. She was intensely aware of Hope's movements underneath her. Nora raised herself up slightly as the rooftops have disappeared underneath them for a bit. Hope had leapt from the rooftops. She felt her hair flowed behind her and her stomach lurched. She almost felt as if she and the mare were both flying till they landed on the rooftops.
Behind Nora were the Narnians, they were galloping and jumping from rooftop to rooftop. They were running together, as though they're one and the same. Many of them were stunned at the sight and others were amazed at the sight before the them while a few others were scared to see that the stories of the past were coming back to haunt them.
"Where are we going?!" Rainstone could be seen as he galloped alongside Nora, worried about the situation that they're facing.
Nora glanced over at Rainstone, the look of the Narnia's Warrior's legendary courage and fierce determination. "You'll find out soon enough! Just keep going!"
Nora raised herself up slightly as the rooftops have disappeared underneath them for a bit. Hope had leapt from the rooftops. She felt her hair flowed behind her and her stomach lurched. She almost felt as if she and the mare were both flying till they landed on the rooftops. Running behind Nora were the Narnians, they were galloping and jumping from rooftop to rooftop. They were running together, as though they're one and the same.
Nora soon convinced Hope to gallop ahead of the team to the archway. As soon as she found a group of startled and frightened soldiers, she let out Hope to rear at them. It made the soldiers all stumbled back from her while accidentally letting the trapped Narnians be freed from their captivity in their enemy's castle.
Without hesitation, Nora convinced Hope to follow the freed Narnians. But once they had arrived to the moat bridge, they were horrified to see that they were being cornered by a bunch of Telmarine soldiers. Nora and Rainstone exchanged knowing, but determinedly brave glances.
"We need to jump!" Nora yelled.
At her words, Nora and Rainstone made sure each of the originally trapped Narnians jumped into the moat below. Once the moat bridge was cleared by any of the Narnians, both Nora and Rainstone caught each other's eyes knowingly.
And at that moment, they both quickly jumped off the draw bridge before the soldiers could catch up to them. Nora raised herself up slightly as the draw bridge has disappeared underneath them for a bit. Hope had leapt from the draw bridge. She felt her hair flowed behind her and her stomach lurched. She almost felt as if she and the mare were both flying till they landed into the water.A fair distance away from the castle and its moat, Nora and the other Narnians could be seen stepping out of the water and into the depths of the woods, out of prying eyes of the Telmarine soldiers.
Rainstone glanced at Nora, a grateful look on his expression. "Thank you Warrior Nora."
"You're welcome." Her eyes softened as she gazed at Rainstone. Nora looked ahead, her eyes showed the experience of a great soldier. "But let's see if we could find the Narnia Army."
As they continued searching for the Narnia Army, they soon found Glenstorm and the other Narnians who were all resting from last night's raid.
"Rainstone!" cried out many of the Centaurs.
Nora stayed back as the Narnia Army started reuniting with the missing half of the army. But Glenstorm soon caught sight of Nora watching them from a fair distance away from them. He listened to his eldest son's explanation about her sudden rescue and felt grateful for her quick presence in the aftermath of the nighttime raid. He soon trotted up to her, a slight smile at the girl's defiant, steadfast courage.
"Thank you Warrior Nora," Glenstorm said to her.
Nora gave him a small smile. "You're welcome."
"Come." Glenstorm soon led her away from the reunion of the army. "I believe some friends are waiting for you."
