The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the grounds of Hogwarts, creating a warm, golden glow that seemed to soften even the hardest of hearts. Esther leaned against the stone wall of the courtyard, her gaze distant as she contemplated the chaos in her life. The engagement to Sirius loomed over her like a storm cloud, and her heart was in turmoil.
"Malfoy," a familiar voice drawled, snapping her from her thoughts. She turned to see Sirius approaching, his expression a mix of annoyance and something deeper that she couldn't quite decipher.
"Black," she replied coolly, crossing her arms as she faced him. "What do you want?"
"Is that any way to greet your fiancé?" He stepped closer, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips.
"I don't recall you ever being particularly enthusiastic about the engagement either," she shot back, her frustration bubbling to the surface.
He stepped into her space, his presence both infuriating and intoxicating. "Maybe because I didn't choose it," he said, his tone clipped. "But I'm stuck with it, just like you."
Her heart raced at his proximity, the air between them thick with unspoken tension. "So, what now? We just pretend everything is fine?"
"Honestly? I don't care about what we pretend," Sirius replied, his voice dropping to a low growl. "What I do care about is the fact that you seem to think your better than me, and all of this."
Esther's cheeks flushed with anger. "And you think I wanted any of this? I'm the one who's trapped into something I didn't choose, Black!!"
Their eyes locked, the heat of the argument igniting something within them that neither could ignore. The frustration morphed into a different kind of energy, raw and electric.
"Then maybe we should stop acting like it doesn't matter," he challenged, his voice low and intense.
"What do you suggest?" she shot back, daring him to say what they both knew was lingering in the air.
"Maybe we should just... embrace it," he said, his voice thick with tension.
Before she could process his words, he closed the distance, capturing her chin with his fingers and kissing her fiercely. The moment their lips met, it was like a dam breaking. Their anger poured into the kiss, rough and desperate, as if they were both trying to claim what had been denied for too long.
Esther melted against him, her fingers threading through his hair as she pulled him closer. The kiss was a storm, wild and passionate, their frustrations transforming into something electric.
Sirius deepened the kiss, his hands gripping her waist as if anchoring himself to her. She responded with equal fervor, pressing herself against him, feeling the heat radiating from his body.
"God, I hate this," he murmured against her lips, the words almost lost in their heated exchange.
"Then stop pretending," she breathed, her heart racing as she pulled back just enough to meet his gaze.
He studied her for a moment, and in that split second, she saw the conflict warring in his eyes. But before she could analyze it, he kissed her again, harder this time, their bodies colliding with urgency.
Esther wrapped her legs around his waist as he lifted her, pressing her back against the cold stone wall. The contrast made her shiver, igniting something primal between them. The kiss turned more fervent, their breaths mingling in the space between.
"Esther..." he breathed, trailing kisses down her neck, and she gasped at the sensation, her body responding to every touch.
"Don't stop," she urged, tilting her head back to give him better access. She felt alive, her mind swirling with pleasure and desire, drowning out the worries that had clouded her heart.
