Lisa heaved up and down, her back leaning on the headboard of the hospital bed. Sweat profusely went down from her forehead to her neck. Her eyes looked at Jennie, who held a worried expression.

"What happened? You were yelling."

"Where's Irene?"

"She went out for a while, answering a call."

As Jennie finished talking, the door opened with Irene went inside. Lisa looks at Irene, her eyes scanning the older woman before she sighs in relief, not seeing anything wrong with her.

The small woman felt their gaze yet she didn't mind as she sat down on the couch, eyes darted to the device she was holding. Lisa looked back at Jennie, smiling at the cat-eyed woman before she leaned a little.

"Can you leave us for a while?"

Jennie smiles before she caress Lisa's cheeks. Her eyebrows went up and down as if teasing the younger woman who sat on the hospital bed.

"Don't worry, I was about to leave for the night."

As Jennie finished speaking, Lisa looked out the window. Seeing that it was already midnight, she couldn't help but curse under her breath. She looks back at the feline-eyed woman, smiling and nodding before she bows a little.

"Take care."

Before, when Irene and Lisa were newlywed, Irene couldn't help but feel a little jealous because of how close Jennie and Lisa were. But as time went by, she didn't mind it at all.

As Lisa told her, she and Jennie were best of friends. Lisa wouldn't certainly think of Jennie like that as she looked at the cat-eyed woman none other than an older sister she never had.

Jennie looked back at Irene, the older woman looked up from the device she was holding before nodding at the feline woman. Jennie went out of the hospital room.

Lisa's eyes darted to Irene, seeing the woman still busy on her phone before she stood up from the bed, and walked closer to Irene.

"Where are you going?"

Yet, Lisa didn't answer her. The tall woman stands in front of Irene before she squats down, looking intently at the small woman who finally darted her attention to the squatting woman.

Lisa sighed in relief, her hand going upwards as she caressed Irene's cheeks, which confused the older woman.

"What are you doing?"

"Thank God you're ok."

Lisa said, her knee going down on the hard-cold floor before she wrapped her arms around Irene's body. Her face buried on Irene's neck as she hugged the older woman tightly.

Irene couldn't understand. She froze on her spot not knowing what to do with Lisa's action.

Should she hug back?

But she didn't want the woman to know she cared.

"You're the one who's supposed to be the talk."

"No, you are."

Lisa pulled away from the hug, her hand gently rubbing Irene's arms up and down before she smiled at the older woman. Irene doesn't understand why Lisa's acting this way.

Did she do something again without her knowledge?

Upon thinking of this, Irene's demeanor changes into a cold one. Her eyes darted to Lisa's without any emotion, hands going to Lisa's arms before she pushed them away.
