"Scott, mind explaining what happened out on the field today?" Brooke questioned him while the three musketeers walk through the leaves of the Beacon Hills Preserve.
"I have no idea, B. It just felt like I had all the time in the world to catch the ball." Scott shrugged. "And I can hear things now."
"Hear things?" Brooke asked trying to show that she didn't already know what was happening to him.
"Like everything is louder than usual." He tried to explain. "Oh and I can smell things now too."
"Smell things? Really, like what?" Stiles finally decided to join the conversation concerning their best friend.
"Like the Big Red gum in your pocket and Brooke has vanilla scented chapstick in her jeans pocket." Scott said.
"I don't have. . ." Stiles and Brooke both stopped talking when they both find the items where Scott said they'd be. Both of them glance up in amazement at Scott, giving him the 'holy crap' look.
"Maybe it's like an infection or I'm pumped up with adrenaline." Scott told them.
"Yeah, I think I know what kind of infection it is." Brooke smirked to Stiles.
"Oh yeah, we did a research paper on it back in 7th grade right? It's super rare dude." He played on.
"I think it's called lycanthropy or maybe that's just the 'scientific name'."
"Lycanthropy, is it bad?" Scott's voice became laced with worry.
"The worst, but only once a month." Brooke said.
Next to her, Stiles started to make a howling noise, then Brooke joins him. The two laugh over the gullibleness of their best friend. Scott then realized that they were making fun of him, saying he was turning into a werewolf, but Brooke is only dropping hints for him. More to Stiles, I mean, she couldn't exactly tell them that she knew about the Supernatural world and that they were now going to have to go through what she tried to walk away from years ago. Scott smacks his friend's heads together. They grab their heads, rubbing as they continue through the preserve.
"Don't be upset when you see me melting silver this week, full moon's on Friday." Stiles added.
A cold chill danced down Brooke spinal cord, she stopped dead in her tracks and Scott did the same. Last night half of a dead girl's body laid curled up on the cold, leaf infested ground, but now, the body was gone.
"The body was right here, I swear. I remember i-" Scott stated.
"It was here, Stiles." Brooke agreed with him feeling uneasy.
"Well then maybe the killer moved the body." Stiles suggested.
"I hope he left my inhaler then, those are $80 a piece." Scott sighed no longer caring about the dead person.
Brooke on the other hand couldn't forget about it, about her, she looked so familiar to her. Suddenly, a man in a black leather jacket stood near them, watching them search through the leaves. Brooke notices the man first so she hits Stiles to get his attention, when he sees the guy he does the same to Scott until the three of them watch the man approach them. Brooke had to admit, he looked pretty intimidating and he also looked familiar to her. Why were these people showing up everywhere, she asked herself.
"This is private property." The older, dark haired stranger stated. Stiles then realized who he was and began to feel guilty, it showed in his voice and his face.
"Sorry, we didn't know. W-" Stiles apologized.
"We were just looking for somethi -" Scott got cut off when the man tossed an object towards him; Scott caught it just like one of the lacrosse balls from practice. The three teenagers look back to see the stranger, but he's already gone. Vanished. With no more thought to it at all, they turn around and start walking back towards Baby.
