"Derek! Derek look at me!" Brooke yelled as she chased after him through the woods behind the glass house. Derek carried her body in his arms, it all felt like If I Stay to Brooke. "Derek! It's him, he's the alpha! HE DID THIS!" Brooke cried.

Brooke staggered back and nearly fell into the crisp leaves underneath her wobbly feet. Derek was a werewolf, Brooke knew that, so if he couldn't hear her it was because he really couldn't hear her.

Derek bursted into the house and Brooke followed slowly behind him, she was beginning to feel numb. They went up the stairs into Laura's room and Brooke watched intently as Derek picked up her phone. He clicked Scott's contact and Brooke felt her heart ache. The last thing she did was yell at him, what if she never got to talk to him again. Brooke wondered if she could even touch anyone again.

Brooke extended her hand and reached out to Derek, but her hand reacted too and pulled back. Brooke wondered if what would happen if she couldn't touch anyone. A tear left Brooke's eyes and she backed away from Derek. She saw the shards of glass hovering above her and grabbed one. Brooke squeezed but nothing happened. She couldn't bleed, she couldn't feel pain.

The teenage girls attention went back to Derek when he hung up the phone and slid it into his pocket. Derek turned to Brooke, well he turned to her unresponsive body lying in his older sister's bed. He tangled a piece of her hair in one of his fingers as he took in all of her injuries. Brooke just stared at herself and started to ask herself questions. Why would the alpha do this her? Did it have to do with the pictures? Brooke had burned all of them after, she'd felt. . . terrible for what she'd done. And it all happened when she was only 9.

Derek sighed as he saw fresh blood on his finger from one of Brooke's slashes. Carefully, as if Brooke were a china doll, Derek slid his hands underneath her body and picked her up bridal style. Brooke followed behind him down the stairs then out the glass door. A breeze rolled by and Brooke rubbed her hands together for warmth before she watched Derek rest her body in the back seat of his Camaro. She hopped in the car just as Derek closed the door. While Derek jogged to the driver side, Brooke stepped over the back seat and into the passenger's leather seat.

"We've got a long drive ahead of us, Derek." Brooke sighed as they drove down the road. Derek snickers and Brooke gazed over at him in thought that maybe he heard her.

"If you were awake right now, you would be furious at how fast I'm going." Derek laughed. Brooke peered over and saw the speed they were going at.

"Derek, you're gonna get us killed!" Brooke exclaimed at seeing the 97 miles per hour. He shook his head and frowned.

"I'm so sorry, Brooke. I really am."

"I know Derek, it's okay." She whispered.

"Stilinski, just let him go!" Brooke shouted at the Sheriff as they stood with Scott in the hospital waiting room.

Brooke loved him, he was basically her father, but he really needed to drop the sheriff's badge and let Scott go see her body. Room 213 was where Brooke would be spending most of her time for a while. At least until she figured out how to get out of her coma nightmare. Brooke didn't even feel upset, she actually felt glad kind of. It's like Brooke was a ghost wandering around and watching all of her friends deal with their lives. At the moment she was watching as Scott recited the lie Derek told him to tell people.

Brooke went for a run, she didn't come back. Scott went looking for her and brought her straight here.

"Yeah Scott, I'm sorry. I'll just go fill out that paperwork" Sheriff Stilinski nodded and turned to leave. Scott went the opposite direction but Brooke followed after the Sheriff.
