The week had gone by way too fast. The world seemed to revolve around the couple as they laid together.

They were lost in each other.

The room smelt of patchouli and laughter. Nikola had a wide, toothy smile that spanned her entire face. Her eyes were flooded with sparkling infatuation. Sheets were tangled around their legs. The sun was escaping them, and they knew they had to leave for the movies soon. Leo wouldn't enjoy 2 no-shows.

The entire day was full of clouds and drizzle. Since the morning rain drops have been softly bouncing off the roof and windows. Nikola had drawn the curtains and flashed a smile.
"A day inside," she turned on the fairy lights and jumped into waiting arms, "with my favorite."

She had snuggled her face into Nikola's neck, breathing in the smell of apples. Comfort surrounded them as they lounged all day. At some point Nikola had to pull away from the sleeping body (accompanied by a groan of protest) to get something to eat.

She made a salad for herself and grabbed the speaker from downstairs.

She came upstairs blasting music and finishing her salad.
"Get up and dance!" Was met with another groan. Eventually she had herself laughing into her pillow at how silly Nikola was. She flipped over to see the dance moves Nikola was pulling.

"Dear god, Nikki. You can break it down."

"Damn right I can."

They both smiled at each other, Nikola grabbing her hand and pulling her to the carpet dance floor. Old pop music blared out of the speakers as Nikola spun her dance partner around. They were giggling messes the entire time. Nikola was called silly, and she retorted with "that's why you love me," and "I know, right?" after a glance of disbelief in her direction. She shook her head.

"You're an idiot."

"Do you want me to respond to that?"

After working up a sweat dancing and singing the lyrics too loud, they sat on the seat at the end of the bed and caught their breath.

They fell back on the bed together, looking at each other and then smiling at the ceiling.

"Thanks for the dance party."

"Anytime."

They laid together for a long period of time before Nikola knew that they had to start getting ready for their lovely movie outing.

Nikola looked at the speaker that had long been silenced. She breathed deeply and looked in her partner's eyes. They stared back at hers, making her smile.

"I love you, but we have to go sometime."
"Nikols, can't we just stay here forever?" She traced a finger up and down Nikolas arms, looking up at her eyes.

"We've planned this, silly! Get up."
"Fine." She rolled her eyes, smiled, and got up to get ready with Nikola.

The hot shower filled the room with steam as they both smiled, getting in together. They laughed in the foggy room, sweet and alone.

The movie had ended.
Leo hugged Nikola, mumbling into her hair about how he'd miss her.

"Leo, I'll probably see you soon."
"No you wont!"
"You hang with me every day."
"Fair point."

They all sat on the curb together, looking at the breathtaking sky. Dark and looming as it stared from above.
They all joked about things, smiling and chuckling. Nudging each other when they referenced something. The night tasted like caramel.

Their conversation droned on for what seemed like forever, Leo and Nikola leaning together, Nikola's hand in her girlfriend's hold.
