Victoria is a high class interior designer so she's never lived in a place longer than a year or shorter than 3 months so if I agreed it'll mean her staying for minimum of 3 months which would clash with the wedding which may or may not hold but either way it's Victoria we're talking about. So yeah

"Of course you are I'm Vickytoria the amazingly amazing Vickytoria herself. People cower in fear around me"
Yeah sure I said mentally rolling my eyes as we laughed
"So how did you date go??"
"Well....."

"So are we talking Leilani or Makiri like the 'angel' you know and the 'devil' you don't know"
I sighed
Technically I didn't know any of them like that.
"I dunno Vic ah mean I've gotta consider Mom you know"
"Tch right. I think it's too early to decide let's wait for a few weeks then we'll know"
I nodded as I drifted off in thought before asking
"Alright.... So how's our baby"
"Not due till the next 5 months or so. Anyways don't act like you care"
"I do care Vicky" I laughed tho I mean it genuinely and I knew she needed to hear it.
Victoria was raped earlier this year and it was terrible. I had to fly all the way to Guyana to be with her. Buh to make her feel better I decided to take responsibility as the legal dad of the child since the real dad had been hanged for countless crimes.
"It's just that sometimes I forget??" I quickly added
"Well when I'm at your place you'll definitely not forget"
There was a sound of wrappers and then I started laughing
"Night eater"
"Sleep walker"
We laughed

"Um Drei remember that fake ring we got so people would think I'm married??"
"Yeah??"
"I can't find it"
"Vicky this is the 13th time this month"
"I know I know but I was eating....."

"Nimi I'm so so sorry...."
She yawned
"It's fine. Anthony's still asleep buh why are you awake??"
"I'm stressed out about this whole thing"

I was in tears
"Nimi what if Mom and Dad find out?? This all this wasn't supposed to happen"
"Ok Makiri firstly I want you to take deep breaths ok??" I started breathing
"That's it in and out, in and out. Better??"
"A little"
"Ok that's better than nothing. Secondly I want you to grab a glass of milk"
I struggled with laziness but then I made my way to the kitchen and got a glass and downed it in a go.
"Ok that's good. Now back to bed"
I waddled back. Funny how she wasn't here but I felt like she was
"Remember tuck in and no sleeping pills today"
"Ok"
I tucked in and placed the phone by my bedside drawer
"Now it's too early to decide on who to pick or what to tell your parents but I want you to try and trust Enrique. Ok??
It's actually better you trust him and he fails you than you don't trust him at all ok?? And yes I know that you're bothered about all these things but planning is done in the morning and sleeping is done at night ok??"
I nodded "ok"
"So close your eyes and drift off to sleep peacefully ok??"
I nodded but was too tired to respond as everywhere went dark.

Enrique's POV
I loosened my tie and took off my clothes. Took a quick shower and made my way to bed. I couldn't find the strength in me to work all night. I was about to doze off when I decided to play my personal voicemails. That was when I heard
"Enrique you're in big trouble mister"
I massaged my forehead "Sam always getting on my nerves"
I put a call through
"Sam..."
"Spill"
"Dude spill really spill?? No how are you?? Have you eaten or anything nice just spill really??
"Dude I ain't your freaking girlfriend ok?? Well fine how are you??" He asked grudgingly
"Exhausted buh I'll be fine."
"Good good so now we've gone through all the unnecessary formalities kindly spill or die"
I laughed heartedly somewhat like a belly life before replying
"I'm exhausted maybe tomorrow??"
"You realise I'm only 16 miles away right??"
"I'm not scared by threats you know."
"You do realise I have a spare key and I wouldn't be a suspect of physically beating up as everybody knows me as nice nice Sammy Sam"
I almost puked at the thought
"You're crazy you know. Your mates are asleep you know"
"Well what can I say?? I can't sleep without the full gist"
I chuckled
"So how did it go??"
"Well...."

"Hmmm Makiri Delano and Leilani Jordan ok"
"W-w-e-h- ok just like that?? I need advice dude which is why I would have preferred telling you all this in the morning when you'd be sane enough"
"Rude anyways Dude it's normal to get confused about all these mix ups but relax ok everything will unfold with time"
There was a pause before I heard him fake gag
"Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww I almost sounded wise"
"Almost"
We laughed
"Are we still on for some Bbq and chicken later on??"
"Yeah.... Yeah sure why not??." I said almost dozing off. "Now go to bed Sam you naughty naughty boy"

I chuckled "Night-"  he'd cut the call

'Such a fool' I chuckled and got more comfy before dozing off. As the saying goes planning and thinking is done in the morning and sleeping and resting is done at night.....
