Chapter 10

Examining my bright phone screen displaying the 9:30 alarm notification, Kalin already getting ready in the bathroom. I went back to sleep peacefully, usually I sleep in until 12:00, 3:00 in the afternoon latest depending on how worn out I am.

9:00 PM

After the show I quickly had to leave in order to catch my flight and be an hour early in advance. I wasn't able to say goodbye to any of them which may have affected them in some way since Jake called me 10 mins after noticing my absence.

Brooke? Hello?

Yes Jake, Sorry I wasn't able to say bye to any of you.

It's alright, you at the airport already?

Yes, just so I can be updated with heaven forbid my flight be canceled, when the next one would be for example.

Oh right, just wondering everyone was worried where you could've disappeared to.

Well please tell everyone where I am and I'm very sorry for leaving so quickly without notice, anyways how are you? I hadn't seen you this entire trip except on stage.

I'm doing great! Dom and I have been FaceTiming lately and have plans already planned when I get back. How about you?

Not too good not too good. Jake you're like my little brother I helped you out when you were 13 with that hair of yours now can you keep a secret between you and I?

Of course of course, right about the hair. What's up Brooke? I know you and my brother haven't been the best lately of what I heard from Kalin and Cameron.

Does Myles know yet?

No remember we aren't on good terms and I just took the test at the airport restroom. I may sound calm Jake but I'm extremely terrified. If you don't mind informing Kalin about this also.

Don't be, you'll be okay. If you need me to tell him or need something, anything I'm here alright. Myles is extremely stubborn and may not know how to let such straight forward  new information that can be a large change, process at first but I'm sure everything will go well okay? I'll make sure to do that, possibly right now if he bumps into me. Love you Brooke!

I sat on those mellow, blue, plastic airport chairs tapping my nails on the case of my phone. After 10 minutes of waiting I'd gotten a text message from Kalin.

Yes please don't tell anybody

I won't, how far long are you?

Don't know I'm planning an appointment as soon as possible.

I'll come to the bay that day. Yes I have a show I'm working things out with management. Tell me when and I'll be there.

The loud intercom went off so the entire airport could be notified with what plane was taking off. Happening to be mine I grabbed my large bags and put them on a cart strolling my way to my source of home.
