{Y/n} shut the door to Rin's rooms. She lay beside him on the bed, Rin just a few centimeters away. Rin looked down at the female hand. Her other hand was holding her phone as she was scrolling online.

Her hand looked so lonely, he wanted to grab her hand. He wanted him to notice her, even if it was a small motion. Even if holding hands can mean nothing beyond friendship.

This reminded him of old times when they were younger.

When Sae would play in his football games, Rin and {Y/n} would be waiting from the sidelines. She would always hold his hand, even if it was because she didn't want to be alone. {Y/n} was the one who held his hand in the first place, not Rin initiating the action.

This time was going to be different. Without hesitation and second thoughts, Rin slid his hand under {Y/n} and clasped his fingers around hers.

The female looked at her hand. Seeing Rin was holding her hand a smile appeared on her face that went unnoticed.

They look at each other like they are the last two people on earth. {Y/n} puts her phone down and looks at Rin with a bright smile. They lay down on the bed looking up and the ceiling while still holding hands.

"I'm sorry, Rin." She looks over at him and he looks back at her a little confused. "For earlier. When I was talking to your brother." She looks back up at the white ceiling while still talking, "I know you brought me here, and I shouldn't have talked to him for so long. I took away our time together."

Rin didn't stop staring at her as she talked. "You're fine. I got a little overwhelmed by it." Jealousy, he was jealous. He was never going to say it. But he was jealous.

"Anway off that topic," She looked at Rin acting like nothing happened. "Do you remember how we first met? I mean when we were younger."

He looked at her chucking at the thought. "Yeah. You were the new students and there were rumors around that you were related to Yuu. I didn't bother to learn who you were, but since your step-brother and I were on the same team–"

"I was eager to learn about you," She interrupted with a cheeky laugh. "You kept on ignoring me, but I didn't give up. Then I finally got you to talk to me after a week of me bothering you."

She tapped Rin's Shoulder with her free hand, her mouth agape when recalling another memory from their past. "Oh My God!" She exclaimed. "Do you remember the first day of middle school?!"

His face lit up knowing what she was talking about, "Yeah, when you embarrassed yourself and almost broke the camera that was around your neck."

Her face flushed red from embarrassment thinking about what happened. "Oh, it was bad, Rin." {Y/n} took a breath of fresh air before telling her story. "You only saw the outer rink of the story. But what actually happened will make you feel bad for laughing."
