It was party central. Garrett was recovering from his own week long celebration when neds tournament was about to begin.
"When are you going to compete?" Arya asked.
"I dont compete." Garrett corrected. "Not usually."
"Too old for it? Thats my fathers excuse." Arya told him.
"You calling me old, little wolf?" Garrett asked. She chuckled.
"You know my name day is coming up."
"We should have a party." Garrett suggested. "As if there isnt enough celebrations going on, we should have a real reason for a party."
"Yeah.... sure..."
"You look different Arya."
"Do I?"
"Yeah." Garrett looked her over again. "You brushed your hair?"
"Ha, ha." Arya gave him a shove. "Go away." she strut off and hoped he was watching her. She glanced back over her shoulder. He was. Score!
Sansa watched garrett as he weaved through the crowd with polite hellos. Sansa caught joffrey's eye, whom she had been successfully avoiding. But now he glowered back at her. She was quick to duck her head down.
"Lover's quarrel?" Petyr remarked coming up to Sansa.
"I'm sorry. Do I...?" Sansa looked him over confused.
"Sansa dear, this is Lord Baelish. He's known..." Mordone began.
"An old friend of the family. I've known your mother a long long time." Petyr offered.
"Why do they call you Littlefinger?" Arya interrupted.
"Arya!" Sansa declared, Arya shrugged. Honest question.
"You and Vaera look cozy."
"She has agreed to let me court her but her father can't know." Jon agreed. "Not until... I'm legitimized."
"She asked that of you?"
"No." Jon assured. "I... I am not worthy of her as a bastard."
"She thinks so." Garrett countered.
"She wants her father to think she is still courting you so he doesnt object the idea of us... until she is sure she wants me forever." Jon whispered already blushing.
"Thats wonderful. If a Stark name is what you crave, i will grant is." Garrett offered.
"Really?"
"Put anything in front of my father when he's drunk and he will sign." Garrett assured. He had always wanted his own father to legitimize him but he wanted Vaera more than he cared if Eddard Stark handed him the slip of paper.
"Any luck on the marriage front?"
"Hey Vaera." Garrett countered.
""Vaera!" Jon declared she smiled leaning into him.
"I want to formally tell you, Garrett that-"
"He already told me, congratulations. I wish you the best." Garrett cut in.
"Wonderful, I didnt want to have to break your heart." Vaera agreed with a cheeky grin.
"My heart will remain in one piece knowing you two are together." Garrett assured.
"Fabulous!" Vaera declared. "Come on, I want cookies before this stupid thing starts." She grabbed Jon's hand leading him away.
"No, it's quite all right. When I was a child I was very small and I come from a little spit of land called The Fingers, so you see, it's an exceedingly clever nickname." Petyr explained and Arya wasn't impressed.
