sara pov

The morning light spilled through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the living room where Sara sat with her phone in hand, her brow furrowed in concern. The events of the previous night weighed heavily on her mind, the tension of the biker party still palpable in the air. Angel had shown up unexpectedly, and then those debt collectors had stormed in, threatening everything Sara held dear.

Sara's thoughts raced as she dialed her father's number, her heart pounding with uncertainty. She knew he was busy with gang matters, but she hoped he could offer some advice or assistance.

"Hey, Dad," she said when he answered, trying to keep her voice steady. "I need to talk to you about my friend ."

"Sara, I can't discuss this right now," he replied, the sounds of the biker gang bustling around him. "We have a lot going on. What's happening?"

"Dad, she's in trouble. Those debt collectors are looking for her. I'm worried they might come after her again," she explained, her voice rising with urgency. "We need to do something."

There was a pause on the other end, and she could hear him sigh. "I understand, but I can't pull my men away right now. You know how things are."

"Can't you at least help her find a safe place?" Sara pleaded, desperation creeping into her voice.

"I'll do what I can, but you should talk to your Uncle Max. He might be able to help more than I can right now," he said, the resignation in his tone clear.

"Okay, thanks, Dad," Sara replied, feeling a mix of hope and frustration. She hung up, already reaching for her phone again to call Max.

Andrei answered on the first ring, his deep voice grounding her. "Sara, what's going on?"

"Uncle Andrei, it's my friend . She's in trouble with some debt collectors, and we need to figure out a way to protect her," Sara said, her voice laced with urgency.

"I heard something about that. Your father mentioned it," Max replied. "What do you need from me?"

"Can you help us? I'm scared for her. I want to keep her safe," Sara said, her heart racing. "I know you're busy, but she's my friend."

"Of course I'll help. I can assign someone to look after her," Andrei said, his tone firm. "You know I have connections, and I won't let anything happen to her while I'm around. You just focus on keeping her close and safe."

"Thank you, Uncle Andrei," Sara replied, relief washing over her. "But who can you assign?"

"I'll send Alexander. He's trusted and knows how to handle these kinds of situations. He'll keep a close eye on her," Andrei said.

"Will he be okay with it? I mean, I know he has his own stuff going on." I asked.

"He'll be fine. He knows how important this is," Andrei assured me . "I'll talk to him and have him come by later."

"Okay. I really appreciate this," Isaid, my mind racing with the implications of having Alexander as Angel's protector.

"Just keep me updated, okay? I want to know if anything changes," uncle replied before hanging up.

Sara took a deep breath, a mix of gratitude and anxiety bubbling in her chest. She didn't want to put Angel in more danger, but at least they would have someone keeping watch over her.

Later that day, the doorbell rang, pulling me from her thoughts. i opened the door to find Alexander standing there, a determined expression on his face.
