Let me tell you about my life

God knows I have a story

An unmatched parallel paradigm shift of unmatched proportions

My feet of clay have trekked on muddy waters

Wondering if a cop will shoot me for walking while black

I, a man decked in melanin

Ran away while being used to being a runaway

Found myself sinking

Drowning

Falling

Looking for God to be grandiose

But failing to see that God is bigger and greater than all of my circumstances

My hands became bolder

The moment I learned how to use them

My voice became more powerful

The moment I knew how to speak

I penned my truth over pain and spilled tears

Watched where I once was

Seen what I am becoming

I stand ready to talk about my occurrences

However

The rest is still unwritten

I still have joy

Amen
