Anthony's POV

I sighed and slowly slid out from underneath Ian and jumped out of the tree, dusting off my pants. I dig my hands into my pockets, taking one last glance at the beautiful hybrids appearance, before walking out of the park.

Ian's POV

I slowly open my eyes, to the small droplets of rain hitting my ears. I sit up, seeing that the sunset was in motion, with a small drizzle of rain falling in front of it.

It was a beautiful sight, art I might say. I was mesmerized by the light mixed in with the sparkles of rain.

I quickly shook my head, taking my gaze off of the beautiful motion. I immediately notice, Anthony was gone. I furrowed my eyebrows, slowly climbing to the top of the tree, stopping on the tallest branch.

I sit up on my knees, again getting mesmerized by the sunset, slowly starting to go down. I didn't care about my hair getting wet and flattened. The beautiful sight in front of me was so worth it.

I wish I had a camera. Humans were the only ones who could have those. I've always wanted one, they could keep the image they saw forever. I've wanted to do that so many times.

I've had so many adventures, uniqueness and beauty right in front of me. I have always wanted to save those thoughts and images.

I sighed at the thought, covering my eyes and facing my gaze down back onto the bright green leaves. I've always noticed the strength of this tree, it still manages to be so beautiful in its own way even after getting picked on by every lightning strike.

I gently stroked the leaves, smiling at their softness. I bit my lip, slowly laying down on the branch. I stared up, smiling as I saw the moon starting to show.

I slowly closed my eyes. I wonder where Anthony went..

Anthony's POV

I slowly made my way down the sidewalk, looking around slowly. The nighttime scared me at times, it was always pure silence. I always kept my hood up, basically as a camouflage.

It always seemed to work which gave me many advantages of living. I could maybe.. steal someone else's food or hide in the alleys when humans were up past curfew.

My hood was black, with small tints of blue in it. I actually found this in the alleys. Listen, there's not many things to choose from.. hybrids don't get choices that much in life.

I slowly walked up to my small shelter I built a couple weeks ago. I walked inside, looking around and laying on the ground. I slowly closed my eyes, curling in a small ball and falling into a deep, deep sleep.

Ian's POV

I opened my eyes once more, to it raining harshly. My face was already drenched with water. I was slightly cold, but like I said before the tree makes it alright.

I slowly sat up and felt my hair immediately flatten from the cold rain. I shivered slightly, crawling back under the leaves. I hugged my knees softly, digging my face into the now, wet fabric of my pants.

I sighed softly, lifting my face back up and resting my chin on the top of my knees. I looked down at the ground, seeing small foot prints of all different kinds. It's rained so many times here, there were tracks left.

I felt a small idea pop in my head as I jumped out of the tree, landing right next to the tracks. I trailed my finger over the defined traces. Could these be pictures? An image saved in place, forever? I guess it could be, maybe I could draw small pictures in the mud?

I know, it may sound disgusting. But, it could work for me, messy or not.

I slowly dragged my finger against the wetness of the mud, drawing small pieces of art. I drew hearts, Suns, clouds, lightning strikes.. but most of all, dog ears.

I know it may sound weird.. but it was something that was in my mind at the moment, so I decided to draw what I saw. I drew small stick figures, playing with frisbees or sticks. I laughed at how bad they looked, but it was an image. My own thoughts will now be treasured in the dirt of this park.

Anyone can read them if they please, I don't mind. They are my own pictures, that appear in my mind. They can criticize all they want, I wouldn't take anything for granted.

Just tiny pictures, nothing special. Nothing big or really artistic, just thoughts in mud. It's like my own small camera, everyone can see what I think. But I do know, they will never see the patterns that mark the tree.

Those, are true arts. Those, show pure and intimate beauty. Those, confirm that beauty can be on the outside and the inside. The tree inspires me so much, it's as if it's a life tree, it truly does make people happy.

I've seen it with my own eyes, when people come near this tree, even if they have a frown on their face, when they lay one finger on this tree it's like all the sadness and pain get sucked out of them and get replaced with happiness and pure joy.

The frown they once had, fades and turns into a small grin. This tree, is special. It's beautiful.

I slowly make two small figures in the mud, right next to the tree. I tried to make them as detailed as I could, they weren't the best but they were meaningful.

I looked at each one, they were beautiful. They had their own natural beauty. They were beautiful. Pure beauty. I wasn't being cocky or anything I was stating the obvious, like I said.. everything has its own beauty, and these were beautiful.

As I looked at the two figures, I made four features very noticeable. The bright blue eyes with the grey cat ears, and then dark brown eyes with the Carmel brown dog ears.

Beautiful.
