"That'll be $27,840", informs the cashier as she finally rings up everything we bought in the supermarket.

Milando wanted to go grocery shopping, said he's got something planned which included tons of food.

Feel like he's gonna cook us something instead of actually going out into a crowded space. It was something we'd do to just stay at home in each other's company.

I don't get why he bought so many stuff though, even bought snacks and ice cream treats.

He hands the girl his card before reaching over to pick up some skittles and chocolates.

"Why are you buying so many sweets, I never said you could have them", I scold in a low voice.

"It's not mine, I owe Penny and Nicole these".

"Dem a extort yuh?".

"Like clockwork".

Tell yuh bout dem two deh, love dem belly. Dem wuda sell mi fi a pack a bubblegum.

The cashier kept glancing at Milando, her eyes then slowly met mine before she looked at him again.

"You're that football player right, Milando?", she asks him.

He smiled politely, "yes".

"Know a you when yuh first walk in here eno".

"Yes, can keep that between us, wuda appreciate it".

"Yeah yeah, good to see you doing better".

"Thanks".

A bag boy put the bags on a trolly and started pushing them out the supermarket as we followed behind him. Once we're outside Milando opened the backdoor to put the groceries inside the car.

We took my car since he's still waiting for his, he said he's the one who has to pick it up but he's too lazy to do it.

Naah pressure my baby so him try go fah.

Once we got back on the road I got one of the ice cream sandwiches and searched for a song on my phone to play.

"Where are we going?", I ponder biting into the treat.

The cold vanilla touched my tongue leaving a cramping sensation.

"Fuck!", I closed my eyes finding it hard to spit the treat out.

"Keleisi?".

"Cramp".

Serve yuh right greedy.

"So spit it out nuh".

"No".

As the cramp cools down I let out a relieved breath. Finally.

"So, where are we going?".

He snickers at my sudden recovery, "I'm not telling you".

"Yuh just buy almost 30 grand worth of groceries and yaah drive past the turn".

"Sit back and chill nuh Kels".

"....yuh always have so much fi say".

I bit the inside of my cheek while gazing at him, "consider that the last thing mi ago say fi the rest a the day then".

"Watcha, vex yuh vex now".

I kept quiet even when he asked me questions. When he realized I wasn't going to have a conversation with him anymore he let me be quiet for the rest of the drive.
