As I stepped into the eerie silence of the abandoned hospital, a chill ran down my spine.

This was the place where I hoped to find Aiah, but the foreboding atmosphere only heightened my anxiety.

“Bakit ang daming henchmen?” I thought to myself, feeling a rush of adrenaline as I pressed myself against the cold, damp wall.

The shadows seemed to dance around me, and it wasn’t long before I heard the low murmurs of voices.

“Q, what happened?” I whispered into my earpiece, trying to keep my voice steady.

“It’s a trap, Mikha! Be careful! They’re waiting for you,” she replied urgently. The realization hit me like a punch to the gut. The secluded nature of this place made it the perfect hideout for Zack and his men.

There were at least twenty of them lurking in the shadows, their intentions clear.

Suddenly, the silence was shattered as gunfire erupted. “Get down!” I shouted to myself, instinctively rolling to the side just as bullets whizzed past me.

Heart racing, I aimed carefully, picking off the nearest henchman before he could reload.

“Isa… dalawa…” I muttered under my breath, counting each shot, my focus sharpening. This was not just a fight for survival; it was a fight to save Aiah.

I had to know how many enemies were in this place. Each shot counted, and I needed to outmaneuver them before they overwhelmed me.

I ducked behind an overturned gurney, my mind racing as I strategized. “Q, how many do you see?” I asked, glancing around for any advantage.

“There’s too many to count, but I’ll track their movements. Just stay low and keep firing,” she urged. I nodded, my resolve hardening.

This was it—I would fight my way through, no matter the odds. Aiah was out there, and I was not leaving without her.

With renewed determination, I peeked out from my cover, taking aim once more.

I had just taken down a couple more henchmen when I felt a sharp pain in my back. The world spun as I instinctively turned 180 degrees, firing at the assailant just as he pulled the trigger again.

The bullet hit my shoulder, but adrenaline surged through me. I couldn’t let him get away; I squeezed the trigger and watched as he crumpled to the floor.

But in my moment of triumph, I miscalculated my escape. I jumped toward the nearby car, but the ground rushed up to meet me faster than I expected.

My feet slipped out from under me, and I felt myself tumbling down three floors. The impact was brutal, and darkness enveloped me as I hit the ground.
