A little boy ran through the forest hoping to get away from everyone he knew back at home, wanting to get away from the life he used to have. He ran to his best-friend's house knocking on her parent's door.

"What are you doing his?" His friend's mother asked. "Mrs. Erica, I'm sorry to come unannounced but I ran away, and I don't want to go back! Please don't call my mother, she'll hurt me worse," the boy begged. "Come on in," the woman told the boy going to the kitchen preparing some hot chocolate got the boy to warm him up.

The woman gave the little boy the drink. "Thanks Mrs. Erica," the boy said as he took a sip enjoying the taste of the drink. "This is my favorite time of year, it's when Derek isn't as rude to our daughter," Erica said as she sat beside the boy comforting him.

"Sweetie! Come here! Your friend is here!" Erica shouted as her daughter rushed down the stairs running to her best-friend.

"OMG! HI!" The young female shouted excited to finally see her male best-friend. "Hey Bestie!" The boy shouted now hugging his female friend.

"Do you also want some hot chocolate?" Erica asked her daughter. Her daughter nodded excitedly as she already saw her friend with some so Erica got up and made her daughter some.

"Oh, sweetie, your other friend's coming over," Erica said which made her daughter jump up in excitement. "Deedee is coming?" the young girl asked in excitement. "She is," Erica replied which made her daughter more excited. "Both of my best-friends will be here!" She said excitedly looking at her friend's reaction noticing he shared the same look of happiness as she did.

"Can I live here Mrs. Erica?" The young boy asked. Erica came back handing her daughter the hot chocolate before replying. "I'll need to ask Derek, but you can for now," Erica said causing her daughter and the boy to be excited.

Around an hour later a knock came on the door and the young female instantly got up and opened it seeing her best-friend who was only older by a few months standing at the door with a suitcase and a book in her hand. "Come in!" The female shouted to her best-friend as her friend walked through the door.

"So, you ready to do our project for the Greek gods or goddesses?" Her best friend asked. "I am Deedee! Our other partner is here since it's a trio," the young girl said leading Deedee to her living room as it was her first time here. "Deedee, this is my other best-friend Winter," the young female said introducing Deliah to Winter and the other way around. "Oh, my mom made hot chocolate, want some?" the young woman asked. "Sure Clodagh," Deliah responded with.

"Mom, Deedee wants some hot chocolate. Can you make her some?" Clodagh asked as Erica walked in the room to see how it was going. "Of course I can," Erica responded before leaving and making Deliah some. "She makes the best kind," Winter said as he took a sip of his he has. "Oh wow, when'd you get here?" Deliah asked. "An hour and 2 minutes before you," Winter replied. "Enough of that, we need to start our school project," Clodagh said getting the textbooks and articles out.

"Here's the hot chocolate before you forget," Erica said as she handed Deliah the hot chocolate and left the room letting the trio work on their school project.

The three of them spent 40 minutes doing research and writing on the paper about the Greek goddess their teacher had chosen for them before they stopped getting hungry. "Do you have any food?" Deliah asked. "I'll ask Mrs. Erica," Winter said heading downstairs.

"I know why you're here so get your ass back to that room as food will be out soon," Erica said not glancing behind her. "Thanks Mrs. Erica," Winter said before he went back in the room where the others were waiting. "She'll bring food up shortly," Winter said as he climbed back in the bed to continue with the project due next week.

Erica finished the chicken nuggets she had prepared for the children before she heard a knock on the door and went to answer it seeing Winter's mother. "Mrs. Fortune, your son isn't here right now," Erica said calmly. "Oh, I thought he would be," Winter's mom replied before leaving silently.

Erica thought it was odd as she'd normally fight to come in but then noticed her husband was here which is probably why.

"Why are you making chicken nuggets? Clodagh can eat what we have," Derek said. "Oh, her friends have a school project to do and it's legit," Erica replied. "Well, best make dinner for us then," Derek said as he got up and went to the couch watching football.

Erica called the three kids down and they came down excitedly eating the food Erica had supplied. "If you kids need help, just ask me," Erica said as they finished up and went to finish the project for school.
