Chapter 9

Sorscha stayed in her kneeling position before the king. "What do you want me to do today master? I have work in the nursery today, and I hear someone's first day is today and another person is interviewing for a deputy position which is needed," Sorscha told him while asking. "I want you to help my daughter get that human she has to kill, but before then, we'll bring her here along with the angel my son has to kill," Roger told her looking down at his faithful demon. "Of course, sir, I'll get to it," Sorscha told him before teleporting outside the nursery near the back before checking her phone's time and walking to the front of the building hiding her powers and going inside for the start of the day seeing Reece already waiting. "Hey Sorscha, hear anything yet about Winter's demon or something?" Reece asked. "No, Roger has no clue who he is but will get to assigning him one shortly," Sorscha told him. "Alright then, any news?" Reece asked walking with her to the office so she could clock in. "Only that Roger is insistent on getting the human your sister has to kill along with your angel," Sorscha told him as she clocked in. "Talk after work but there's a new angel around and its power is unlike anything I've seen, be careful," Reece said as he went in the office sitting at his usual seat confused as why Marjorie hadn't arrived yet since she was scheduled to be in a quarter of an hour ago. 

Reece hadn't been too particular about the angel but seeing her friend arrive he was confused why she hadn't been here knowing Marjorie loved to be at this probably having it for a long time. 

He walked out the office and towards Charlotte. "I know you're an angel but where's Marjorie?" Reece asked. Charlotte just glared before shrugging. "Don't know, thought you demons took her. I haven't seen her since I fell asleep in my room," Charlotte replied before getting back to work.

Reece went back in the office and teleported to his sister's location seeing she was in her bedroom and looked up when he got here. "Have you seen my angel? I had a huge way of kidnapping her, but I can't find her," Reece said. "No, I haven't seen her since that presence or thing kicked us out!" Autumn replied still pissed off about that. "I mean, we need to bring your human and my angel to our dad, and I was thinking we'd do it together but now Marjorie is nowhere to be found and even the angel friend she was with had no clue." Reece explained as Autumn looked confused not hearing of angel's disappearing. "Huh, that's weird, angels just don't disappear like that," Autumn told him. "Got to go, an interviewer should arrive soon," Reece told his sister before teleporting to the office and saw the angel there.

"PFFT!" You actually went looking for me? I literally left before Charlotte, so she didn't know where I went but my shift started late, not early dumbass," Marjorie said half laughing. "Asshole, thought I ruined my plan on killing you," Reece shot back.

"Hello Roger," the voice said, strong and sharp. "Well, glad to see you're here now Janice," Roger replied. "Course I am. I heard they think you have a human when it's actually me who does. I can easily kill that human and angel for you," Janice said. "You only say that when you're requesting something," Roger told her. "You know that nursery you own? The one you made sure that Marjorie got the job so Reece could kill her and Carly around the same time?" Janice asked. "I don't want Marjorie killed just yet, I have a discussion I want with her and Clodagh is a massive threat even if she's human," Roger replied before continuing. "And I know you used to work there so you want to or be on the board? I've already added Mia and my children to the board of directors." Janice just smirked since she had wanted both of those things. "Fine, but that human of mine is cute so I can make her my slave, or something so bring her here, I can easily mind control her," Roger said. "Alright then, I'll kill Vivian and get you Siobhan," Janice said before teleporting away only to see them at a bar with one another realizing Vivian had already made a friendship with the woman.
