I plop down on the couch, between JJ and my brother. As I settle in, I accidentally jab John B with my elbow, prompting a protest from him. I roll my eyes and hand him the beer he asked for before cracking open my own and taking a sip. I fold one leg beneath me, resting my knee and part of my thigh on JJ's leg. His hand instinctively finds its way to my thigh, caressing the skin gently, sending a warm shiver up my spine.

We gathered around the table as soon as we got home, started to discuss what we were gonna do about the necklace. Pope wasn't too happy about it, and neither is John B, but at least Pope keeps an open mind.

He has laid down the ship's blueprints on top of the table, and is instructing us on where the captain's chamber is supposed to be.

"Okay so, looking at the schematics of the ship," he says, circling the stern with his pen, "it'll probably be best for you to enter in around here."

"Right," JJ nods, paying attention to the blueprint.

"Genrette wasn't kidding about this stash."

"How can you know? We haven checked yet." I say, taking a sip of my beer.

"'Cause it's here, look." Pope points to the page, "In the captain's log, there's a secret compartment. Right here behind the headboard in the captain's quarters."

John B lets out an exasperated sigh, "Are we still talking about this?"

"Seriously?" I frown, I frown, playfully shoving him. "Come on, where's your treasure-hunting spirit?"

"No, seriously. The ship's been down there for 300 years." John B gestures to the captain's log, "It's been salvaged, we know that."

"Yeah, same as the Royal Merchant and you still made us go down there, didn't you?" I shoot back.

"Okay, first of all, the Merchant hadn't been salvaged. We were the first ones to find it."

"Whatever. Tomato, tomato." I wave my hand dismissively, "Same thing still. Wrecked ship. Treasure hunt."

"And second-"

"Come on," Cleo interjects, "BJ is right. Not gonna hurt to check."

"Thank you, Cleozilla."

"I told you to stop calling me that," Cleo warns, pointing her knife at me.

"And I told you to stop calling me blowjob."

"Fair enough, Brizy." Cleo smirks.

"Fine, Cleokins."

"Alright, whatever." JJ says, shaking his head, and reaching for the map, "It'll be easy, John B. We know where it is. It's right in this area." JJ points to a general area near Goat Island.
