A/N: Sorry for the extremely rushed ending but I have no more ideas for this book. Next chapter will be the last. But don't worry I have an Eren fic listed and I'm working on a Levi one. I'll definitely be coming back to Reiner in a au.

Present: Age 22

We arrived back to Paradis yesterday morning. Surprisingly, the meeting with the Azumabito clan went well. Better than any of us had expected. They listened intently, accepted our terms, and even seemed intrigued by our plans. Our alliance was officially sealed, with promises to share resources and teach us about their technology. For the first time in a while, it felt like we were actually building something, not just fighting to survive.

Today, though, it's back to business as usual. Bored, I wander the halls of headquarters, looking for someone to bother. The place is unusually quiet; most people are off preparing supplies or training recruits, leaving the corridors almost empty. As I pass by the library, I spot Armin seated at a desk, surrounded by an impressive stack of old, dusty books. His brow is slightly furrowed, lips moving ever so slightly as he reads.

I make my way over, letting my boots creak loudly against the wooden floor, watching his head turn at the sound. "Hey, Armeen. What are you up to?" I say, flashing him a teasing smile and stretching out his name playfully.

He looks up, giving me a light smile. "Hey I'm just reading some history books. It's insane how so much of the information in here is all lies. What are you up to?"

I rest my hands on the back of a wooden chair before shrugging. "Nothing, just going around bothering people. There's nothing for me to do today."

He laughs. "Well, if you're looking for something to do, maybe you should go find Hange. She's always up to something."

"As much as I love that idea, I'm gonna pass. I don't want to get roped into being a guinea pig for one of her experiments." I push off from the chair before giving him a mock salute. "Anyways, I'll leave you to your books

"See you later."

I continue my journey walking down the halls. When I turn a corner, I stop abruptly when I see two figures kissing. I squint my eyes trying to make out the figures from far away. When they pull a part I realize it's Jean and Pieck. I accidentally let out a gasp, causing them to whip their heads in my direction.

"Oh hey." I awkwardly call out.

Jean's face turns red. "Blair—hey... uh, didn't see you there." he mumbles as he rubs the back of his neck.

I grin awkwardly and I start walking backwards. "Don't worry about me. You guys just pretend I was never here. I am a ghost." And with that, I turn around rushing around the corner. They might feel awkward but I feel even more awkward for ruining their moment.

I keep my gaze on the floor as I walk, muttering to myself. Jean and Pieck! I can't lie, I was secretly hoping they would get together. But for me to see it actually play out right in front of me!?

I've lost track of time. Life has seemed to speed past me in a blur, caught up in the chaos and commotion of battle. We stopped the Rumbling, but at what cost? So many lives were lost...Hange among them.

My legs finally give out, and I fall to my knees, sinking into the dirt and rubble beneath me. I pull my odm gear off with slow, shaky hands, letting it clatter to the ground. Dust swirls in the air, stinging my eyes, and I can barely see through it all. With a ragged breath, I collapse onto my back, feeling the rough earth beneath me, too exhausted to even move. I close my eyes, desperate for just a sliver of peace.

Suddenly, a voice breaks through the haze. "Oh my god, Blair! Are you alive?"

I blink, trying to focus, and see Connie's familiar face looking down at me, his eyes filled with relief. "Connie." I whisper, barely able to find my voice.

He nods, tears finally spilling over as he reaches down, pulling me up from the ground. We embrace, clinging to each other for a long moment. When I pull back, I catch my breath, my voice barely steady. "Where is everyone?"

"Everyone's okay. Armin's with Mikasa, Jean's with Pieck and Levi, and Annie found her dad." He hesitates. "I... I'm not sure where Reiner is, though."

My stomach drops, fear clawing its way up my throat. Just as dread begins to tighten its grip, I hear my name, faint but unmistakable.

"Blair!"

I spin around and spot him, Reiner, running toward me. Without a second thought, I break into a run, leaving Connie behind. "Reiner!" I cry, my voice raw as I crash into his arms. He holds me tightly, leaning back to look into my eyes before pulling me into a kiss.

He cups my face with both hands, his fingers rough but gentle. "I'm so glad you're okay." he whispers. "I don't know what I would have done without you."

I reach up, gripping his wrists tightly, grounding myself in his touch. "It's okay. We're here, both of us. You don't have to worry anymore."

He pulls me back into his embrace, holding me so tightly it's as if he's afraid I'll disappear if he lets go. His chin rests atop my head, and I feel his chest rise and fall with each shaky breath. Then, he speaks softly. "Blair... I'm no longer a Titan. I'm free...I can be with you forever. I could...I could make you my wife."

I gasp, trying to hold back the surge of emotions as tears spill down my face. His words hang in the air, a promise, a hope we never thought we'd have. "I'd like that." I manage to whisper.

He tilts his head down, pressing his forehead against mine, his breath warm against my face.

"Reiner?" A shaky voice calls out.

Reiner pulls back, turning around, and his eyes widen. His voice cracks as he speaks. "Mom?"

Tears glisten in her eyes as she takes hesitant steps toward him, arms outstretched. Reiner moves toward her, wrapping her in an embrace that feels both tender and heartbreaking. In that moment, he looks like a young boy again, innocent and unburdened, as he holds her tightly.

They linger in their hug, both of them clinging to each other, before he pulls back just enough to meet her gaze. "Mom, I want you to meet someone." he says, his voice filled with a quiet pride. He glances back at me with a soft smile. "This is Blair... my future wife."

She turns to me, tears still brimming in her eyes as she takes me in, a mixture of awe and warmth in her expression. "Oh dear, you're so beautiful." she murmurs, her voice thick with emotion. Without hesitation, she steps forward and pulls me into a warm, maternal embrace.

"I'm so happy to have you as part of the family." she whispers, holding me as if I'm already one of her own. The weight of her words, the welcome, settles over me, and I feel a sense of belonging that I hadn't realized I'd been searching for.
