It was just Powder and I for breakfast this morning.

Vander, Mylo and Claggor had to make a run for the bar before dawn to catch the delivery man and take inventory, so I took the liberty to make some food for Pow before she woke up.

I'm not much of a cook but at least it's edible. Made with love~.

Once Powder woke up, she didn't hesitate to dig into her plate and compliment the eggs I had made. I knew she was lying after I ate a spoonful of the eggs and realized I had forgotten the salt.

Unconditional love at its finest.

Sevika's words from last night hadn't left my mind since we spoke. Opening up to Powder was the first step.

Last night helped me lift this big weight I didn't know I was carrying on my shoulders this whole time since I came back.

We cleaned up the kitchen and washed the dishes before migrating to the living room. I plopped down on the couch to watch some TV while Powder went to get her equipment to continue working on this invention she started two nights ago.

After placing everything on the coffee table, she sat down on the floor and slapped on Clagg's eye googles.

"Ekko is gonna come by in a bit, he has a late shift at the skate shop today." Powder said as she loaded up her torch with a new propane tank. I smiled to myself.

"That's great, I missed the little man."

We sat in silence as she worked on her gadget and I sat there staring at the screen I haven't been paying much attention to, thinking about whether I should bring up Caitlyn or not.

Well, here goes nothing.

"Hey PowPow," She gave me a little hum, giving me a green light to continue, "Tell me more about Caitlyn. Nothing weird or anything, just wanna know like how you guys met and stuff."

Nice, Vi. Ha ha, smooth.

"Well, I actually met her last year at the Orientation Festival, the one you went to last week. It was the only engineering club that I liked, all the other ones were filled with these egotistical guys, so I signed up. I thought she was a snobby, nosey ass bitch in the beginning in all honesty." Powder said as she started to weld some metals together. "Her being a Piltie made me immediately assume she was stuck-up and thought she was better than me. It got worse when she'll ask me if I was okay and each time I would insult her, she'll just say she was there for me if I needed to talk to someone. It was like she could read my mind because she always bothered me when I was going through something. 'Get out of my head!' I thought."

This was Silco's mindset. Don't get me wrong, he's been there for us whenever we need him and will immediately show up when it has anything to do with Powder, but his hate for Pilties is strong and he isn't the type of man to be embarrassed of showing or expressing it.

It didn't help that Powder clung to him like bubble gum when she was younger. His judgements and criticisms stuck with her. Vander and I never approved him talking bad about Pilties in front of Powder since she was still growing and developing, concerned the negativity would affect her.

It wasn't much help, however, he wouldn't budge and would actually get upset that we weren't on his side since we're from Zaun. But, it's not about that. He was a bit of a hater and taught that hate to Powder, it didn't help that she would stay at his place over the weekends. Who knows what he fed into her head while we weren't around. Silco's mentality effect at its finest.

For that alone, it was mind-blowing that Silco even respects Caitlyn. I need to ask her how in the world did she do it. That woman is really something else.
