As the private plane glided through the night sky, the gentle hum of the engines surrounded Kendall and you like a cozy blanket. It was Saturday at 2 AM, on a flight to Aspen, and the world outside the windows was dark and quiet, a stark contrast to the bustling life you both led. You settled into the plush leather seats, your legs intertwined with hers, feeling the warmth radiate from her.

"Can you believe it's been eight months since we were last in Aspen?" Kendall said, a smile spreading across her face. She absentmindedly played with your fingers, tracing patterns along your knuckles.

"It feels like forever," you replied, leaning your head against the seat and glancing at her. "I missed this—just us doing something without anyone knowing. No cameras, no people. Just... you and me."

Kendall's smile softened, and she turned her gaze out the window for a moment. "Yeah, it's nice to do something just for us. Sometimes I feel like we have to put on this whole show for the world," she admitted, her voice laced with a hint of frustration. "But right now? No one knows where we are. Except for our assistants, but still."

You giggled, nodding in agreement. "Exactly. It can be exhausting always worrying about what people think or how they see us. Doing this, it feels like we can breathe."

"Breathe and make some really terrible ski memories," Kendall teased, grinning at you. "Just wait until you see me wipe out on the slopes."

"You wipe out? You're the one with the Olympic blood in your system. I'll be the one falling all over myself while you're zooming down like a pro," you laughed. "I'm ready for you to teach me, if you'll have me. I wanna try snowboarding again."

"Oh, it'll be fun," Kendall said, her eyes lighting up at the thought. "I'll teach you if you promise me you won't give up this time. I won't let you, either. We'll have fun, I swear."

"Ok I promise! Just don't laugh at me when I'm falling on my face," you said, biting your lip playfully.

Kendall leaned closer, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek. "Never. I'll never laugh at you, only with you."

You leaned into her warmth, enjoying the moment. "What about the paparazzi? Do you think we'll be able to avoid them this time?" you asked, your tone shifting slightly. The reality of being in the public eye was always looming, even in your most intimate moments.

Kendall sighed, her playful demeanor fading for just a moment. "I hope so. I mean that's why we took this red-eye flight, right? It's always a struggle to keep things private but no one knows we're going, and we're pretty lowkey so by the time people notice us, I think it'll take the paps a little while to get there."

"It is hard. But I'd take a million red-eye flights if it meant getting to keep our secret for a little longer," you said, reaching over to squeeze her hand. "Just you and me."

"Yeah," she murmured, looking at you with a glimmer of adoration in her eyes. "There's something so special about these moments, and I don't want to take them for granted."

You shifted in your seat, giving her a playful smile. "So, what's the plan once we get there Skiing? Maybe some hot chocolate by the fire?"

Kendall laughed, the sound lightening the mood. "How about sleep? We'll get there at 4 am, baby. We need some sleep."

"True" you said, giggling. "I can't wait to cuddle in front of a fireplace with snow outside."

"Yeah, instead of California's heat," she said, tapping your nose affectionately. The playful conversation flowed easily between you, a reminder of the effortless connection you shared.

As the plane soared through the darkness, the anticipation of Aspen filled the air, and with it, the unspoken promise of what could happen during your getaway. Though neither of you was aware of the thoughts brewing in the back of your minds, it didn't matter. For now, it was just about being together, creating memories, and enjoying the simple pleasure of each other's company.
