Roman was supposed to be a man of business.
He had a cult to run, people to maintain, and killings to orchestrate. However, on a rare day, the rarest of all days, he's human. Days were he gets to experience happiness and joy outside of his murderous intentions. But, those days are hard to come by.
Well, kinda.
He gets happy about two things, no, two people. Those two people make his heart thump and his face go red. He has dreams about kidnapping them and keeping them to himself forever and ever. These two people? Well Jaden Wayne and The light of the knight!
Jaden Wayne was absolutely gorgeous, she was a recent obsession of his. He plans out very particular times to see her pass by on the streets of Gotham. She's almost always with that annoyance of a twin brother, it's rare for her to be by herself. He choked one day and approached her when no one was around, she was so kind even to stranger. She gave him an autograph of her headshot that he, to this day, has on his wall. He wanted to say more, but he couldn't.
Then there's The Light of the Knight, Nightlight. A magician who fights crime, an absolute badass. Rumor has it that she's actually the dark knight's daughter, but those are just rumors. Roman prefers to think that over the weird dating rumors. But besides that, he's been fooled by that woman so many times. And every time, he isn't angry like he is when Nightwing or Dove ruins his plans. He isn't pissed off when Red hood jumps in the mix. No, when she comes to ruin his plans, it's always a warm hand.
It's always quick with the flick of her finger.
"Well...I haven't seen you before..." She floated on her back looking up at him upside down. His eyes were shaking looking at her through the mask, the knife tightening in his hand. "Whats your deal pale face? Everyone has a story" She reached out to hold the tip of the mask, her hand traveling lower and beneath it. She was curious, and he was stunned.
Her hand was so warm, it was welcoming and bright. She fixed her position to be floating straight up, not once did she touched the ground. He remembers wanting to take her home, force her in his room just to look at her. Just to feel some warmth, just to feel something other than cold and bitterness.
He would do anything, just to stand in the same room as her again.
"Thank you for your purchase!!" Roman smiled as the woman handed him the tickets. He's been standing in line for hours, since eight am to be exact. Just to be able to snag tickets to the Wayne charity case. Normally he doesn't care for the show cases they do, Last year Richie talked about how he went to Alison Grayson's concert just to see her. And earlier this year Ethan had went to a video game tournament to compete against Timothy Wayne.
But now it's Roman's turn, he stared at the seven tickets he had in his hand. It's really all he could afford to give but he wasn't complaining. He was going, the rest were optional. He walked down the street back to his base, a smile remained on his face the entire time.
"Woah now!" The door opened to the building, Stu was on the latter fixing up the tv. "Boss man is...happy??" Billy was next to raise an eyebrow as he held the tv in place for his boyfriend. "For what? You got good news?" "Uh..." Roman stared at the golden yellow tickets in his hand. "Yeah...! Yeah! I got good news!" "Is it on that bitch Vale?" Jill came into the room followed by her girlfriend Amber, the both of them were getting sick of Vicki and her outspokenness against the cult. "No, not right now"
"So it's on Lane?" Mickey question next, entering the room with the last five members of the cult. "We are never going to be able to kill Lois Lane...that's just a fucking suicide mission" Ethan mutters with an eye roll. "We aren't killing anyone!" "We aren't???" Everyone said in unison. "Then...what's going on?"
