They were walking across campus, Seungmin looking soft and pristine in his light blue cropped knit sweater over a white undershirt, paired with fitted blue jeans. The fluffy white beret perched on his pink hair completed his innocent look. Beside him, Jeongin was all edge and attitude in his baggy faded black and white cargo pants, black shirt layered under a matching plaid button-up, black and white Nikes completing his look.
"I noticed something," Seungmin said suddenly, glancing up at Jeongin with a small smile.
"And what's that?" Jeongin asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You're not wearing all black anymore," Seungmin observed, fingers playing with the hem of Jeongin's plaid shirt. "You've been adding white and color to your outfits lately."
Jeongin just hummed, slinging his arm over Seungmin's shoulders and pulling him closer.
"I like it when you wear color," Seungmin continued, a slight blush coloring his cheeks. "Makes you look all sexy and bad boyish."
"Yeah?" Jeongin's lips quirked into a smirk. "Didn't know you had a thing for bad boys, princess."
"Just one particular bad boy," Seungmin replied softly. "Who's slowly learning that other colors exist besides black."
"Speaking of learning," Jeongin said, his thumb stroking circles on Seungmin's shoulder. "If you pass this exam, I'll grant you one wish."
Seungmin perked up, tilting his head to look at Jeongin. "Really?"
"Yeah," Jeongin smirked, watching Seungmin's eyes light up. "So think carefully about what you want to wish for."
"Hmm," Seungmin pretended to think deeply. "Can I wish for two things?"
"No," Jeongin said firmly, squeezing his shoulder. "I said one thing, princess. Don't get greedy."
"Then I want you to take me on a shopping spree," Seungmin declared, fighting back a smile.
"A shopping spree?" Jeongin scoffed. "That's not happening. We just had our picnic date, and yesterday was your skincare Sunday reset bubble tea date."
Seungmin let out a soft chuckle, pressing closer to Jeongin's side. "I'm kidding. But maybe... maybe we can just take a drive on your motorcycle? We don't have to go anywhere special, but we could stop and get McDonald's? Just be us?" He looked up at Jeongin hopefully.
Something in Jeongin's expression softened as he met Seungmin's gaze. "Whatever you want, princess," he said, voice gentler than usual. "But only if you pass your exam."
"I always pass my exams," Seungmin reminded him with a confident smile. "Top of my class, remember?"
"How could I forget?" Jeongin pressed a kiss to the side of his head, right above his beret. "You never let me."
They reached the exam room where Felix and Hyunjin were already waiting, their expressions souring at the sight of Jeongin.
"Good luck," Jeongin murmured, deliberately bumping Hyunjin's shoulder as he passed. "See you later, princess."
