A/N: BRAH so I made some changes in very last sentence of the last chapter bcuz I thought the plot would move too fast. So go read it again! But if you are reading this after July 17th then you don't have to. Juss letting ya know.
Lily's POV
I wake up to the bright sun, tangled sheets, a distant 90's jazz music and a sweet scent coming from the kitchen. I squint my eyes to let my pupils adjust to the light, before I take a glance at the digital clock on my bed side table. It's 9:30 am. I twist and turn my body to stretch out my muscles after being in a stilled position for almost 10 hours, and it feels hella good. That is when I realize that Chris is nowhere to be seen. I put two and two together, and jump out of the bed. I start walking towards the kitchen, but I halt myself and make a quick stop at the bathroom to I brush my teeth. I absolutely hated my morning breath and I wasn't going to embarrass myself in front of Chris today. Or ever. I don't know. Hot guys does this to you.Turns out I didn't only brush my teeth- I also brushed my hair, washed my face, and put on a little makeup too. After I looked into the mirror and felt presentable, I walked to the kitchen to see a half naked Chris chopping up some strawberries. His back is turned towards me, and I notice every single one if his toned, taut muscles on his back and shoulders. Every time the knife hits the cutting board, his muscles flex- and that made my little horomones scream and attack my ovaries. Too far? Yeah too far.
I don't know about you, but I have a slight obsession with broad shoulders. Okay, more like a huge obsession. And Chris here, has a very broad shoulder.
I like broad shoulders and I cannot lie.
Thank the Lord I have some self control, or else I would have blurted out some stupid shit like-
"Damn"
Chris whips around and he sees me. I'm like a deer caught in headlights. That word had literally slipped out of my mouth.
So much for self control.
He smirks at me. But thankfully he doesn't talk about it. Instead, he returns to his cutting board. "I'm glad to see you're awake,"
"Yeah, the food smells amazing! What are you making?" I ask.
"Crepes," he beams.
"Yum," I giggle. He thinks I'm talking about the food, but I actually mean his body.
Soon enough, I'm already stuffing my face with the wonderfully delicious crepes Chris had made. I was too busily eating that I couldn't even talk.
"So do you live here by yourself?" He asks.
I nod, and dig into the breakfast even more, if that was even possible.
"You really like crepes, don't you?" He laughs.
I nod. I also smile with the crepe stuffed mouth, but it probably looked like I was grimacing. Hey, this shit was good.
"Are you single?"
I cough, almost choking on the food that was in my mouth. I chew down the food as fast as I can And immediately grab for the glass of water and chug that down. Chris tries to help my situation by patting me on the back, but his soft touch makes it even worse, and it takes me a good five minutes to recover. I thought he would have forgotten by the time I was done, but he takes a jab at the question again.
"You're single right?"
It's just one simple word! Why can't I just say it?
"Yeah" I squeak. And then I was curious. "Why?"
"I was just wondering," was his answer.
Now that really confused me.
But, whatever.
"Well, fortunately, for you, you don't have a door to fix, so I'll let you go a little earlier this time," I playfully winked.
Instead, Chris just asks me, "What are you doing today?"
"I think I might just chill in at home or maybe even go to the mall," I answer. And then I got curious, again.
"Why?" I quirk up an eyebrow.
But he gives me an entirely different answer.
"That's a great plan! You know what? I heard there's a new fro-yo place that opened up near the mall. We should go there afterwards." He said excitedly getting up from his stool.
Okay, what kind of a game is he trying to play here.
"Who invited you?" I ask.
"I did." He answers.
"Who said you had the right?"
"I did," he says once again. This damn boy was not going to leave me.
"Fine, but don't be all pissy at me for taking too much time at the mall, alright?" I point at him.
"Who said I would?" He shrugs and gives a goofy grin.
"Don't say I didn't warn ya."
