The wind roared and howled, whipping around the red truck as it went over it, twigs and branches hitting against the glass at an irregular patter and making the people inside call out as they spoke, making their voices louder to make sure they were being captures by Boone's microphones.
"And once again, the cowboy scientist gets us an amazing view." Luna announced, pretending to clap and praise him as if he'd just cured cancer while her brother cheered with just as much fervor, a new thing that most of the crew had been doing since Tyler had shared the conversation of an interesting phone call he'd received a few days prior.
"Will you two quit that?" He questioned with an exasperated sigh as the tornado began to move away from them, the air surrounding the car clearing and showing the blue skies above once more. "I haven't even said yes yet." He pointed out, hand extending to cover Boone's camera as if covering the lens would mute out his voice and not just the picture.
"Why would ya not say yes?" Boone questioned with wide eyes, him and Luna sharing confused looks between themselves, perfectly synched in the way their heads turned to each other and then a couple of seconds back to him.
"Stop bein' creepy and come out to watch what we're here for." Tyler shook his head at the duo, leaving little room for further discussion as he reached for the driver's side door, pulling it open and jumping out. Not that there was going to be any as Boone and Luna shrugged their shoulders, the wide smiles returning to their faces as they remembered what they were doing.
Pushing the door on her side open, Luna jumped out into Tyler's arms letting him set her down into the wheat littered grass before she moved away from the car with them, eyes looking out to the twister pulling away from them. She rose her hands up, holding her hair from whipping at her face while Boone and Tyler stood together, looking at the camera feed as Tyler moved it around to catch the striations of the tornado ahead of them.
"Good lord!" Luna grumbled out, tongue wagging through the air as if she were a dog after another mouthful of hair managed to annoy the shit out of her, especially when Boone and Tyler just turned the camera to her as they laughed at her predicament.
"Startin' to think Dani might'a been right, Lu?" Boone called to his sister, making her glare at both him and the camera.
"Never! I ain't cuttin' my hair off and you know it." She said in a determined tone. "Wind and hair for dinner are a price I'm willin' to pay." Luna added on as she bound the strands within one hand and lowered the other.
"I'll just braid it for ya again." Boone said with a simple shrug, making his sister smile his way thankfully, knowing he was more than capable after he'd been doing it since they were kids and up to the point where she didn't have any hair left to braid. "And ya can borrow the bandana for now." He added on, walking to his sister to wrap the thing around her head and keep at least some of the hair out of her mouth and eyes since she forgot a hair tie that morning.
"Aren't they just adorable, y'all?" Tyler's question had the siblings turning to him again, knowing that the fans of their channel had been loving seeing the dynamic between the twins ever since Luna joined the crew in the south this season.
"I thought ya were filmin' the twister, man?" Boone questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"When I'm in charge of the camera, I film what I wanna film." Tyler answered with a simple shrug of his shoulders, laughing as the particular choice of words drew a raise from his best friend.
"In charge of the camera? Oh you give it back right now!" Boone yelled after the man who, instead of obeying, set off in a run, camera still in hand and forcing Boone to follow after him while Luna laughed at their childish behavior.
