-Skipping Roughly Two Weeks-
By the time that enough time had passed for both of them to to know one another properly, neither one could deny how much they loved the other. They were past the 'I care about you' stage. Now they would lay in Gerard's bed-Gerard knew that it was both of theirs, though, because he wouldn't let Frank sleep anywhere else-and Gerard would pull Frank against him, back to Gerard's front, and wrap his arms snugly around Frank's waist.
Frank still wasn't okay with not being there with Gerard as his body guard. He didn't want anything to happen to him now. He needed Gerard too much. It was while Gerard was gone that Gerard had left Dewees- Frank referred to him as James, since that was his first name-with Frank. Frank had gotten to know James a significant amount. They enjoyed many of the same things and got along rather well. Of course, Gerard was originally jealous of how much time Frank got to spend with James instead of him. Frank would always shrug and tell him that maybe he should spend more time with him. Gerard would laugh and kiss Frank. The other men in the mafia had quickly grown used to Gerard's delicate behavior to Frank. Some of the few women there-Kitty, Jamia, Christa and Alicia-found it adorable.
Of course, Gerard was completely content with just... Being with Frank. They didn't have to be in their current position-Frank had his back pressed against Gerard's front again and Gerard was holding him tight once more-even. They just had to be together. Frank could be trailing happily after Gerard as he went from room to room and Gerard wouldn't mind, wouldn't find it annoying. He found Frank's 'lost-puppy syndrome'(as Frank referred to it as) to be... well, cute. Gerard didn't like to use that word, but it was all that he could use to describe Frank. Cute. Adorable. Innocent. Everything synonymous.
"Frank?" He would ask, nuzzling his face into Frank's neck. Frank would silently laugh and squirm, try to get away, but Gerard would just pull him closer. Not in a threatening way, but an endearing way. After a few moments of the struggle, Frank would give up and turn around in Gerard's arms so their chests were pressed together, Gerard's chin on top of Frank's head.
"Frank?" He would ask again. Frank would look up apt him with his wide hazel eyes and Gerard would smile. "You're coming back in two days." He smiled wider at the way Frank blinked a few times before hugging Gerard close. Gerard would laugh and hug him back. Really, it was like they were in their own little world. Nothing but the two of them, laying in that bed, tangled together under the sheets.
When Frank looked up at him again, a big grin on his face, Gerard felt relieved. He thought Frank wouldn't be up to doing anything still. Not that Gerard objected, he enjoyed having Frank to himself in the time that he wasn't busy. Which was really at night. So they could lay together and Gerard could tell him everything he'd missed that day until Frank was completely asleep on top of his chest, giving light, girl-like snores, smiling in his sleep. Gerard would kiss the top of his head and turn out the light and just... hold Frank, just to know he was in his arms.
Gerard was brought back to reality when he realized that Frank was waving a hand in his face, trying to get his attention. When he finally looked at Frank, he gave a soft "Hm?" and then Frank was kissing him. It was a soft kiss, tender, loving, everything it should have been. Gerard knew that. He smiled and lightly held Frank's hand, bringing it up and pressing a gentle kiss to the back of his hand. Frank smiled and snuggled against Gerard's chest.
Gerard planted and kiss to the top of Frank's head, shutting his eyes tight, savoring the feeling. He knew what would happen in two days and he wasn't at all excited for it. But for now...
He looked back at the small man in his arms. The person he loved. The one he would take a bullet for-though he knew Frank would never let him get hurt, Gerard didn't want Frank hurt either. He smiled and kissed Frank's cheek. "I've got a surprise for you, Frank..." Frank looked at him. Damn those eyes. Gerard would never be able to resist them. He knew that that wasn't a good thing, but it wouldn't have affected him too much, he didn't think. When Frank's head turned lightly to the side, he just smiled.
"Don't worry. You'll love it, I promise." Of course he would. Frank was his. No one else's. He was about to make a huge mistake, he knew that, but he couldn't risk not showing up. After all, the police would be there.
