Gerard watched the scenery go by. They were in the back of the SUV once more and Gerard had Frank pulled against his side. Frank's eyes were closed and he was smiling. Gerard didn't blame him, it was snowing outside and only about, oh, 20 degrees*. Even in the car with the heat on all the way, it really didn't reach the back of the car, so Gerard had noticed Frank's slight shivering and pulled him against him. Frank was cold still, but being next to Gerard helped him immensely. He was shivering anymore. Frank had on the same thing he had worn to the first deal(of course, new clothes, same outfit), but also a heavy black coat as well.

As Gerard planted a kiss to Frank's head, he smiled. "Don't worry. Nothing can go wrong this time. It'll be okay." Frank had been on edge the whole time. Of course, Gerard had promised him that he wouldn't be harmed the last time, so why listen to him now? Frank knew it was because he loved Gerard. So Frank nodded and leaned up to kiss Gerard briefly before setting down with his arm around Gerard's waist. Gerard felt apprehensive about the whole thing. He knew that there were a few possibilities as to what was going to happen. None of them were good ones.

Frank stood next to Gerard in much the same way he had for the first deal-and only-deal he had been present for. This one went much more smoothly, nothing blew up, everyone got what they wanted. Gerard ignored the man's offer to shake hands, only nodding in his direction as the remaining people filed out. Gerard and the man had a brief conversation about the items they had traded. Frank kept his eyes on the other two. He noticed he was closer to Gerard than the other man's body guard was. Frank found that ironic. It was almost as if he were observing. Like he was waiting for his chance.

Frank saw the glint of the police badge as the man adjusted his coat. Frank's eyes widened. He lightly elbowed Gerard, who nodded and ended the conversation smoothly, as though he had been planning on it the whole time. Gerard smiled at Frank softly when he wrapped an arm around Frank's shoulders. Frank blushed, but kept his eyes on the man's body guard. He hadn't moved, though the other man had left.

"Can I help you with something?" Gerard's voice was stiff, like it had been when Frank first met him. The man smiled warmly and shook his head. Something about him seemed familiar, though Frank wasn't sure what. Gerard was.

"No, I don't think so, Gee." The police officer shrugged off his black jacket and tossed it to the floor. Gerard's eyes widened when he read the name on the badge. Michael Way-Sherrif.

"Yeah?" Gerard's voice was quivering the slightest bit. "Then why are you still hanging around, officer?" He wasn't afraid. Frank was. He could tell they knew each other. The way Michael had said his name was different from the others said it. Most people said it like it was the letter. G. Michael said it like it was a nickname. Gerard... Gee... Frank understood. They did know each other. Frank cast a nervous glance at Gerard, then back to the man.

"Because. You're a notorious criminal. You're the boss of a dangerous mafia. You killed my mother, Gee." He was nonchalant about it all, looking at the ceiling until he said that Gerard had killed his mother. Frank internally flinched. Of course Gerard killed people... He had given orders to detonate a bomb. Frank had seen on the news the next day when he had woken up that five people had been killed in the fire. One of them was Manson. Two birds with one stone, he supposed.

"I didn't kill your mother, Mikey." He put emphasis on the 'your', his bottom lip trembled. Frank knew he was either fighting rage or sorrow. He thought it would be rage, since he had never thought of Gerard as one to cry. Mikey laughed. It sounded almost just like Gerard's. High-pitched and infectious. When he laughed he smiled and his eyes crinkled at the corners. Just like Gerard's. The slots slid into place just in time for Frank to catch up when Mikey spoke.

"That's right! You didn't kill my mom! You killed our mom."
