Chapter 23

Mel was preparing everything for the tour. Setlist, list of cities they were performing in, names of hotels they were staying at, etc. They leave in a week, which one would think they'd be packed by now. Nope.

"Have you seen my hairdryer?" Ruby asks as she rummages through the bathroom cabinet. "Uh, didn't you leave it in the kitchen last night?" Mel looks inside the bathroom. "Oh yeah...." They had gotten home late last night so Mel went to bed but Ruby still wanted to shower, she wasn't about to keep Mel up with blow drying her hair though, so she did it in the kitchen. She grabs it and walks back in. "Thanks." She packs it in her suitcase before going to the bathroom. She grabs the essentials, toothbrush, toothpaste, pads, tampons and her towel. Because she is not about to use those hotel towels. She walks back in and sees her girlfriend sitting on the bed, typing away on her laptop. "Whatcha doing?" She asks as she crawls onto the bed. "Last minute stuff, setlist, tour dates, interviews." Ruby nods. She cuddles up next to her. Mel smiles but says nothing as she continues to type. She kisses her cheek and rests her head on her shoulder. Mel kisses the top of her head as she closes the laptop.

"I'm going to assume you want my attention?" She asks. Ruby nods. "Yes." She climbs into her lap. "I was gonna ask, are we sharing a room? For every hotel we're staying at?" "Did you want to? I was gonna switch it up between me and Ky for every hotel we stay at cause i know you wanna spend time with her too." Mel brushes her hair out of her face. Ruby smiles and nods. "I did. I do, i was just wondering." "Actually, now that i think about it, we can all share a room, it would be cheaper that way. And more convenient. You and i share a bed, Ky and Lia share a bed." Ruby nods. "That works." Mel nods. "Ok, so we'll switch it up every city then, you and i share a room while Ky and Lia share, and then the next city, we switch. You and Ky can share and I'll room with Lia. Just don't cheat on me, now." She jokes. Ruby laughs. "Wouldn't dream of it. Who the hell could ever cheat on you?" She asks. "You'd be surprised." Mel mumbles.

"Really? People have cheated on you?" Ruby asks. "Why?" "I don't know why you're surprised. Most people cheat. I mean, I'm not one of them, but most people are." Mel shrugs. "Well, I'm not one either." Ruby hugs her. "So we don't have to worry about that." "I was never worried." Mel kisses her. Ruby smiles as she runs her hands through her hair. "You think you could take a little break?" She smirks. "Oh? And do what?" Mel smirks. "I don't know....something....fun...." She smirks. "Hmm, define fun." Mel kisses her neck.

"This is not what i had in mind for fun, but ok?" Mel looks around at the many people walking around. Ruby had told her where to go but not where they were going. It wasn't until she parked and saw that big Dave and Buster's sign that she sighed. Not that she didn't want to be here but, it's a little too public for a date. "Oh come on, when was the last time we went on a date? Or even just have fun like regular people?" Ruby tugs at her arm. Mel sighs. "Alright fine." "Oh my god! You're Ruby Rose Turner! Can i get a picture?" A few random fans asks. "Yeah, of course." She poses for the picture as Mel checks them in. "We love you in Rise of Red!" Ruby laughs and smiles. "Thank you! You guys ready for the tour?" She asks as she signs a random napkin. "Oh yeah, we already got our tickets." They nod. "Oh my god, is that Mel?!" "Oh my god! Can we get a picture with you both?!" "Of course!" They both pose for a few pictures. "Can i just say, I actually ship you guys so much." They both laugh. "Thanks." "Are you guys actually together?" They glance at each other before Mel winks. "Sh...."

The group squeals before heading back to their other friends. Ruby slaps her arm. "You're so bad!" She laughs. "Yeah, but that's why you love me." Mel throws her arm over her shoulders. "Yeah, yeah. I guess." Ruby kisses her cheek. "Come on!" They carry on with their date until it was time to leave. Once they reach the house, Ruby turns on the tv and puts a random channel while Mel goes to the kitchen. Her phone goes off and she hurries to answer it. "Hello?.... Disney?" She looks at Ruby. "What is it?" Ruby whispered. Mel shrugs. "Wait, wait....ok but....what?!" Mel glances at the tv and grabs the remote from Ruby. She flips the channels until she finds it.

Disney's new Descendants star, Ruby Rose Turner, was seen out with her manager earlier today. The two were seen looking fairly cozy to be just friends. Insiders confirm the two were on a fun date, taking pictures with fans, signing autographs and even sharing a few kisses. Take a look.

A photo is seen of Mel kissing her cheek while another is shown of them in the photo booth, snuggling close. "But wait-" Mel sighs. "They hung up." "What did they want? Did they say?" Ruby asks nervously. "They said that while i am your manager, and it doesn't affect anything between us because it's my management company, your contract with Disney is a different story." Ruby stares at her. "What kind of story?" "A Disney star being in a relationship with her manager looks bad. They want us to break up, or they'll re-cast Bridget." Mel sighs.
