"Uh, by the way, I found this when I was swimming during the contest..."
"W-WHAT?!"
I had a dream this morning that Nami was outside my doorstep and revealed that she had found my pink bikini top. I felt so flustered, thank goodness it was just a dream... I really wonder where the top is though? I'm still not over the embarrassment of it all. Sigh. Speaking of tops, I still have to give Nami back her black shirt that she let me borrow during the swimming festival. I swear, ever since I met Nami, it's a freaking fact that I have never blushed so much in my life! Wearing her shirt that day had me feeling all warm and fuzzy the whole time like mad. I almost don't want to give the shirt back... Hehe. Just kidding. I ain't no thief like Skye!
As usual, I did my usual farm chores this morning and tended to my crops, which were now mostly newly planted sweet potatoes, since I knew Nami had requested me to grow some. Sadly, they aren't fully grown yet since I obviously just planted them today. It's a shame I don't have any sweet potatoes to give to tomorrow's festival: the Harvest Festival. Vesta informed me about it this morning in a letter I got in my mailbox that she wrote and she also gave me these sweet potato seeds in the mail as well for FREE, so now I don't have to buy any after all! I suppose I'll have to find another ingredient to participate. Maybe some milk from my cow Love or an egg from my chicken Katia. I wish I had more money to get some more animals, but at least I have my brand new sheep Pinky now.
Jamie's frigging words about my farming abilities kept echoing in my mind this morning, but I did my best to brush off that jerk's insults. I have no idea if Jamie has left the valley or not yet, but hopefully last night she left considering she basically said she was fed up with this place after the possessed teddy bear attacked her (rightfully so). I really don't want to deal with an ex while trying to have some romance with Nami and trying to build a deeper connection with her.
Sighing, I folded up Nami's black shirt and exited my house while holding onto it, when suddenly from the corner of my eye, a small figure lurched at me and took the piece of clothing from my grasp.
"H-Hey!" I shouted taken aback, turning around to see a....black chicken with red eyes glaring at me, it holding onto Nami's shirt with it's sharp-looking red beak.
"A black chicken?!" I gasped incredulously. "W-What the heck?! Hey! Give Nami's shirt back!" I demanded somewhat frantically, but also fiercely.
"BAWK! BAWKARGH!" the mysterious black chicken roared.
I screamed repeatedly as I began to chase the chicken around my farm in circles for about five minutes until I got dizzy and was about to fall over, until I felt someone catch me from behind by putting their arm around me and it was... Nami?!
"What's going on here?" Nami sternly asked, her voice somewhat intimating as she held me. "I kept on hearing you shouting."
I blushed furiously and immediately stepped a bit away from Nami as I pointed down at the chicken in front of us. "This black chicken showed up out of nowhere and freaking stole your shirt that I was just about to give back to you today!"
Nami nonchalantly looked at the chicken and raised an eyebrow. "Hmm."
The chicken growled as it locked eyes with Nami and then it began to charge right at her. In a flash, Nami grabbed onto the center of the chicken's body, blocking the attack, and she held it up high as my red-headed love interest retrieved her shirt back, snatching it out of the chicken's beak.
As Nami did this, a small little folded-note fell out of the feathers of the chicken, and it effortlessly floated into my hands.
"A note?" I wondered out-loud curiously and I began to read it.
