"Tom... Toma... Tom... What was it...? Oh! Tomamelo! Tomamelo Salad!"
Previously this morning, it came to my attention that some of my tomatoes and melons were fully harvested a bit earlier than usual on my farm, and so, that resulted in me using them in the new recipe I learned yesterday from the Harvest Sprites - or was it the Nature Sprites (?). The salad consists of melons and tomatoes of course, and it's rather simple, and I added some dressing of course along with lettuce and, ohh! It just looks so good! Of course, I'm giving it to Nami though to try. I'm hoping that she'll like it.
I'll use the excuse anyway that it's kind of a thank you-thing for yesterday, considering Nami actually took me to see Doctor Baddoch after I ate that weird mushroom. I don't remember much of the visit since I was rather out of it, and plus, I'm kind of glad I don't remember, since that doctor usually scares me whenever I see him walking around town. Not because of his mechanical eye or anything, but really because he just always looks so angry to see me... and I don't want to bother him in any way. Maybe one day he'll come around and we'll be friends. He just intimidates the crap out of me right now.
I know that Nami did walk me home or something like that, but it's all a blur to me. All I remember really was just passing out in my bed right away - kind of in my dirty clothes, so this morning I felt gross and very much begrudgingly took a shower before getting started on any farm work. I don't know if it was my imagination or a dream, but I do remember it did seem as if Nami stayed there with me in my house for awhile as I drifted off into my slumber, I guess to make sure I was okay. I'm sure I was just dreaming though. Because if she really did watch me when I was sleeping - ahhhh, that's just so embarrassing! I'm blushing just thinking about it!
With the salad in my grasp, I rushed out towards the path that lead towards the ocean - instantly seeing Nami. My lime colored eyes sparkled.
"Nami!" She didn't seem to hear me and my smile soon fell. Blinking in confusion, I then noticed that Nami seemed to be heavily concentrated on looking for something. As she retained a stoic expression the whole time, she was moving her head rapidly looking to the left and right repeatedly, and she kept walking around with her hands in her pockets. She looked trouble and rather full of hidden frustration. Her movements seemed rather frantic, but it seemed she was trying to conceal that at the same time.
Concerned, I put one hand on my heart as the other was firmly holding the wooden-bowl of salad I made her. "Nami...?" I weakly tried again, not sure that she would really hear me this time.
Finally, Nami seemed to notice me from the corner of her eye and she came to a halt. She quickly averted her gaze and kept walking while looking around, ignoring me.
My jaw completely dropped.
"NAMI!" I screeched dramatically in an almost whine as I began to run up to her, catching myself almost laughing from the current disbelief that I was feeling.
I caught up to her, panting, and tried to gesture her to take the bowl of salad. "Hey, I made this-"
"Not now," Nami strictly warned in a cold tone without looking at me for even a second and she kept moving.
My heart felt like it had turned upside down as it began to sink. "But I-"
"I've got to go," Nami answered and she started to walk at an even brisker rate.
"B-But, I-I..." My voice cracked as I gulped and felt tears began to swirl in my emerald eyes. I did my best to compose myself, but it just felt like I had done something wrong to upset her. I hate being so sensitive sometimes. As a tear fell into the salad I made her, somehow it just seemed Nami had sensed it, and she instantly turned around to see me crying. She flinched in shock.
She immediately ran up to me and grabbed onto my left wrist as I still firmly held the salad, her cerulean eyes fierce as she looked into mine that were full of hurt. "Hey! Don't start with that. It's nothing personal toward you. I'm just missing something, and it's urgent for me to find it... so-"
"MWAHAHAHA! COME ONE AND COME ALL!"
The both of us inwardly gasped to look to then see...Rock?! He was standing beside the town's bulletin board right next to the inn and a small crowd was surrounding him: which consisted of Cecelia, Lumina, Molly, Chris, Sebastian, Nina, and Van.
Nami suddenly seemed super pissed. "That moron!" she hissed under her breath.
Nami and I both instantly ran up towards the crowd to see what everybody was staring at on the bulletin board. Rock was standing there smirking ever so haughtily and he had a hand proudly on his hip. His smirk grew even bigger when he saw Nami.
Nami and I were both wide-eyed as we then saw what Rock had plastered onto the board. I let out a gasp and blushed profusely once realizing what it was.
Is that... Nami's diary?!
Rock had the diary taped wide-open on the bulletin board, it was wide-open right on the page where it said, 'She is... Four Hearts' and the dumb blond had written on a piece of paper right next to the diary in bold black sharpie ink saying 'Nami's diary - if you want to see the rest of it, pay me fifty bucks of gold! ALL HER SECRETS ARE IN HERE!'
My jaw dropped. THE AUDACITY OF THIS DUDE! SELLING NAMI'S DIARY?!
Nami was glaring daggers into Rock, probably wanting to kill him and I looked around when I started to hear concern whispers spread in the small crowd.
Suddenly, I felt Nami covering my eyes from behind. I started blushing crazily at feeling her touch, I almost dropped the salad!
"Wha-! W-What are you doing?" I stammered, my cheeks growing pinker.
"Don't look at it," Nami muttered quietly and I could tell she was blushing too.
Is the four hearts thing really about ME then?! Since she's reacting like this...?
"How does it feel Nami?! To be humiliated like you have done to me all this time over and over?! Being stuck to Matthew last night with a sock - WAS THE LAST STRAW! WELCOME TO ROCK'S REVENGE! MWHAHAHAHA! THE ROCK WILL ALWAYS PREVAIL! MWHAHAMWHA-AHHHHH!"
Without warning, the possessed teddy bear then appeared OUT OF NOWHERE and started to attack Rock's face!
"AHHHHHHH!" Rock screamed as he tried to pry the bear off of his face, but it was to no avail.
Nami chuckled. "That idiot!"
She rushed up to the board and forcibly took her diary off it.
My red-headed love interest then crumbled up the other paper that Rock had wrote about her and she rashly threw it at his right eye, causing Rock to growl in pain and to then fall down as the bear was still attacking him.
Van gasped. "My one million dollar bear! It's ALIVE?! It's even more valuable then!Someone grab it!"
Before anyone could move though, there was a flash of light and the bear had vanished into thin air, leaving Rock on the ground panting, as there was drool pouring all out of his mouth.
"CURSE YOU NAMI! CURSE YOUUUUUUU!"
