P.S. I guess it was messed up, i mean the chapters.....
The next day at the studio felt heavy with unspoken words and tension that hung in the air like a thick fog. Chan arrived early, eager to focus on the new project, determined to prove himself in a world that felt both exciting and terrifying. He settled at his workstation, adjusting the headphones and reviewing the music sheets laid out before him. The familiar notes swam in his mind, filling him with purpose and driving out the lingering doubt that had plagued him since he had set foot in Felix's world.
Felix arrived shortly after, his presence immediately commanding attention. He swept into the studio with an air of authority, the soft clicking of his shoes against the polished floor echoing through the space. Chan barely looked up, focusing on the task at hand, but he could feel Felix's icy gaze scanning the room before landing on him.
"Let's make this quick," Felix said, his tone clipped and uninviting. "I have other things to attend to."
"Sure," Chan replied, forcing himself to maintain his concentration, but he could sense the chill radiating from Felix. The easy camaraderie they had shared during their brief moments together seemed to have vanished, replaced by an invisible barrier that Felix seemed intent on maintaining.
As they worked, Chan poured himself into the project, finding solace in the music that enveloped him. He lost track of time, the outside world fading as melodies and harmonies danced through his mind. But Felix remained distant, snapping orders and critiques with precision but devoid of warmth. Each cold remark chipped away at Chan's confidence, but he swallowed his frustration and continued to focus on the task, desperate to impress the man who had become both a mentor and a puzzle.
Just as they settled into a rhythm, Felix's phone rang sharply, cutting through the creative energy in the room. He answered it brusquely, his expression darkening with each word spoken on the other end. Chan tried to tune it out, but the tension was palpable, a thick wire drawn tight with the weight of an
impending storm.
"Yes, Father," Felix replied, his voice steady but laced with irritation. "I'm busy. I can't just drop everything for another one of your dinner parties."
There was a pause, and Chan's curiosity got the better of him. He glanced up, catching a glimpse of Felix's jaw clenched in frustration as he listened to his father's demands.
"You've made it clear how you feel about my choices, but this is my life. I'm not interested in your plans for my future," Felix retorted, the fire in his voice igniting something within Chan—a flicker of understanding. It was a glimpse into the man behind the cool exterior, a revelation of the weight he carried.
But Felix's father was relentless, his voice booming through the speaker as he insisted on another meeting. "You're turning thirty, Felix. It's time to settle down. I have someone in mind for you, a lovely young woman who can—"
Felix cut him off, frustration spilling over. "I'm not going on another one of your blind dates, Father. I'm perfectly capable of managing my personal life without your interference."
