Julie's POV
I walked down the street. I was heading to the DX to see my boyfriend, Steve. We'd been together for about a year now, me and Steve. I have never been happier.
"Hey grease!" I heard someone call. I ignored it and kept walking. Whoever yelled it started following me. They grabbed my arm and spun me around to face them.
It was Amber. She was Randy's girlfriend now. And I ain't joking when I say she's rude. She's the rudest person in Tulsa.
"I'm talking to you." She said. I looked at feet and sighed. Her friends circled me.
"I heard you." I mumbled.
"What was that?" She sneered. I glanced up at her.
"I heard you." I said a but louder. She grabbed my jaw so I was forced to look at her.
"Then, why didn't you answer me?" She whispered dangerously. I mumbled out something even I couldn't understand. "What was that?" She yelled. I stayed quiet.
She released my jaw and I thought it was done. But I was wrong. She tackled me to the ground and her friends pinned my hands down.
"Answer me when I ask you a question." She screeched as she delivered a punch to my lip. I opened my mouth to answer her but, suddenly, she ran off with her friends.
I looked up above me and saw Steve. I smiled slightly and and scrambled into his lap. He held me close and kissed my lips lightly.
"Get her to the house, Steve. I'll cover your shift." Soda said. Steve nodded and stood up. He carried me all the way to the house despite my multiple protests.
When we got to the house, Steve layed me on the couch. I turned onto my side and groaned quietly. Steve went to get stuff to clean my lip with.
"You ok, beautiful?" Steve asked.
"I'm fine. Where are the guys?" I asked.
"Don't worry about them." He said as he brought a rag to my lips to my lip. "She knocked out a tooth." Steve whispered.
"She did?" I asked. He nodded and pulled the rag away.
"I'm so sorry, Jules." Steve said.
"Its not your fault, Steve." I said while lightly grabbing his jaw.
"I should've been there. To protect you, ya know. I'm so so so sorry, Julie." He whispered.
"Steve, it's not your fault. There was no way you could've known it was gonna happen." I said, kissing his lips.
"I love you." He whispered, pulling away.
"I love you, too." I whispered, kissing him again.
