Chapter 12

Sona jumped back at the name, eyeing you as the more seasoned of the student council seemed to copy; those who were borns devils knew of the name Gilgamesh like it was a fairy tale told to scare kids- Sona kept her glare on you before sighing to break the tense silence and spoke finally.

Sona: " Mind if we continue this story in the student council office? "

You: " Depends if I'm in trouble with the big bad student council president or not "

Sona: " No, this is the first thing you've done to get on our radar and the teachers believe you're just misguided at the moment- Let's continue about this Gilgamesh thing in the office "

You nodded- finding it better to just follow along and see what she wanted or needed especially since you didn't have a lot of information yourself. The student council led you towards their office, whispers flooded around the halls as you were walked down them by the military style escort and students began wondering whether or not you were about to be disciplined or punished. You were taken to the office, the large doors swung open like the meeting room of some big company director's office rather than a council room for a small highschool of all things.

Sona: " Please make yourself comfortable mr Hyoudou "

You: " just before I agree to anything or sign anything, I want to make sure this isn't some scammy recruitment scheme like Rias tries pulling off "

Sona: " No, no, not at all like Miss Gremory's tactics I assure you, If I was to have you join us I'd much rather it be on your own terms "

You: " Good, I feel better about that "

You sat on the couch set out in the middle of the office, the student council quickly dispersed and began working on whatever they were meant to be doing or were assigned to do; Sona however sat directly in front of you and set a cup of tea down as if she had been expecting you to show up here or atleast agree to meet her.

Sona: " I had planned to speak to you at some point as part of the Sitri family since it seems you've been dragged into this world of our's rather unwillingly- I like to believe I hold a semblance of balance in the area and don't wish for innocents to be dragged into the horrors of our reality "

You: " I can say for certain that I was forced into this world rather randomly- Killed suddenly by a devil as she attempted to force me into her peerage was not the best way to be introduced to the supernatural way of life "

Sona: " You say you were killed by a devil in an attempt to force you into a peerage; I can assume Miss Gremory is the responsible party? "

You: " That easy to tell? "

Sona: " She has bad habits; if you were killed, how do you still appear to be walking and talking whilst remaining a human? "

You: " No comment "

Sona: " Well if (Y/N) doesn't have a comment what does Gilgamesh say about it "

You: " Gilgamesh would brag like a fool, I prefer to keep my cards face down "

Sona: " How about a game of chess then, if you win you get one demand of the student council- if you lose you tell me everything I want to know "

You: " deal "

Sona smirked, a crestfallen look on the student council's face as they begrudgingly carry over a chess board with the correct amount of pieces; you smirked back at the student council president and spun the board gently so the white pieces were on her side.
