Chapter 6: WE WARNED YOU!!

Ella's POV

They left the next night, but with two less people. The little girl Lizzie who I knew was bad news killed her sister Mika. She was talking about how walkers as they called them are no different to humans. Yeah that's a fucking lie. Walkers killed Hazel and possibly killed Frank too. They are not the same and anyone who thought that deserves the fate of becoming one. They left the instant Carol shot Lizzie in the head. They left us the bodies to bury. I know, how nice of them. We put them next to the other unfortunate people from two years ago. We could only hope they never come back because if they do we made a threat and a good one. We will kill you if you come back. The only bad thing was that they knew how many we had and they could probably over power us easily with more people. But I wasn't going to tell everyone that.

It had been two days since they left and day by day I was getting more anxious. More sure that they would come back with more people and take us out. There was a group of men a while back. They made rules like calling stuff or you cant have it. Calling people. Reyna, Percy and I killed most of them. 

Flashback

Reyna and I were on a hunt, looking for anything we can find useful. We had found a bunch of things that everyone could use. We were on our way back when something felt wrong. The traps we had set to alarm us and everyone back at the cabin were off. And there was no laughter It was completely quiet. Even though its safer to be quiet we knew we could handle ourselves. Reyna and I shared one look and immediately started looking for our missing friends. When we found them it was rough on us. On them.

They had been hog tied and there were men. a lot of them. They had a gun to each of our friends heads and Percy was on the ground and they, oh gods ( I don't want to write that so just imagine what happened to Carl on the side of the road) we got the man off Percy and he was shook. But then again so would anyone else.

What happened next was a blood bath. Percy did the thing Annabeth never wanted him to do again. He bended their blood. Controlled it like he controlled water. Some of them just exploded some of them found their heads missing, daggers to the head. By the end of this everyone was covered in blood and at least  three fourths of the men were dead. They had missing body parts or just exploded, no one forgot it and that was the day that changed all of us.

Present Day

Percy still had hope in people along with Jason, Leo, Piper, Cato, and Will. But Nico, Reyna, Annabeth, Sally, and I had been different. We don't trust people anymore, and if we do it takes a long time for us to truly trust. We have been a bit jumpy if there are unknown people and we are more emotionless. The Boys try to make us happy and laugh and it works but around the few strangers we meet I am as quiet as a mouse.

That's why the atmosphere here is tense. We know they might come back and we don't want another event if we do I don't know how many of us will be sane after that. We had taken up the term of walkers and forgot about roamers which is what we all used to call them.

"Any walkers Ella?" Leo asks from a tree where he was watching for people, people that would harm us.

I sensed around and looked up to him." Nope nothing in a 1000 foot radius. What about you Leo? Any people as far as you can see?" I had made bigger fences with my wand in a matter of minutes and we needed them to hold.

" Nope nothing. You think I could go inside and get a snack while you watch the west fence for me?" He says with a hopeful smile.

" Fine but you better be back in an hour for shift change Piper gets mad if you're not here to change with her, you know that." I say while climbing the ladder. Leo on the other hand nods and jumps off the side landing in a truck and role."Crazy boy" I mutter to myself when he was out of hearing distance.
