Relaxing... I just need to relax—

"Viktoria! Wake up!"

I yawn, "Cid? What's the big deal?"

"Did you not see the news?"

"Huh?"

Cidolfus turns on the TV...

"What in the..."

[Breaking News!]

The screen was on, with an announcer,

"We are currently here directly from Vaflar Continent News Station! There has been recent enlightenment, Apex Institution has directly made their first move... by claiming the Royal Throne!"

I turned to my other friend, Ramin who she was much better that gathering information,

"What does that mean?"

Ramin connected her computer to the Tv showing a map,

"The Royal Throne is something only the Crowned King can even be sitting on... Everyone assumed the Crowned King and the Apex Institution were working together... but this revelation makes me question if the two weren't even close..."

Cid sighs, "Either way, Apex is made up of the Four Great Houses, Individually they only have the power to rule their own kingdoms... but... if they took control of the Crowned King..."

I scratch my head, "But why is this a big deal?"

Ramin turns away from me,

"Dense as always Vik, this news means Apex will become the de facto government of Vaflar, originally it was governed by the Crowned King. This means that the current leader of Apex will now thereby become the new Crowned King, and be on the same level as someone like President Foley [President of the United Skaze Continent]."

Cid stood up, "Honestly... I would take someone like President Foley then Apex as a ruler type..."

Ramin raises an eyebrow, "Despite the fact that President Foley is at the beck and call of the Lux Government? Plus he is powerless against the True Royalty of the Dozia Kingdom, the only reason why he has higher authority over the nobles there is due to the Lux Government."

Cid walks over and turns off the tv, "The world is under the Lux Government rule and no one has realized it..."

I opened the window to let in some breeze when from the distance I could hear people chatter,

"Got you!"

It seemed to be a young boy with grey hair, catching a cat.

"Seems like the Mad Dog's Guild has some new recruits?"

Cid nods, "the three new recruits, I hear they are making a name for themselves. Levi, Rafferty and Natalia?"

Ramin shrugs, "They are just part timers, all they do is find lost cats and items... What we should be worrying about is the upcoming Guild Meetup."

Cid opens the door, "It is weird how they pushed the date a whole eight months early, however..."

Mad Dog's Guild of Vaflar, Sentinel Guild of Apristan and Exo Guild of Skaze... I'll be interested in what they come up with.

Cid takes one step forward as Ramin asks, "Where are you going?"

"To meet our contact, apparently some shit started over there."

I raise an eyebrow, "What? What's happening?"

"The connections we get from each other are weak here, I'll come back after getting the specific details."
