Grey Chapter 1: The Club of Mysteries

It has been a couple of days, and in the coming week... the famous Aster Academy Festival will occur... I've been adjusting to the instructor lifestyle, it was time for me to teach the second year...

Unlike for the first years, the second years are the start of the optional side, so there are differently less students. I open the file in front of me,

"I'll start a roll call, Anya Alexeeva?"

A pink haired girl with a smile as bright as the sun raise her hands,

"Here!"

"Nerio De Marco?" No response... " NERIO DE MARCO?"

A quiet girl with short blond hair in the back, her head jolts up from my scream as she rubs her eyes,

"Aw Huh? Oh um... here..."

I swear is she really from a mafia family?

"Harper Kelley?"

A man with black hair, but with a more refined jacket as the wind blows and his jacket and hair flickers,

"Present!"

"Manfred Jenning?"

Beside Harper was a boy with black hair, but wearing a more casual shirt, his arms was filled with stitches,

"Here!"

"Vera Koroleva?"

Beside Anya was a brown haired girl with her eyes closed, but beside her was a violin, "I am here."

"Celia Udinese?"

Another girl with pink hair jolted up raising her hand, although she had more royal clothings then the other pink haired girl.

"Present!"

After a couple more I closed the file,

"Last week, we went over the process of the Hundred Days War. Anyone done their research? I believe the topic question I gave you guy's was. [Who was the most influential person in the Hundred Days War?]."

Manfred raised his hands, "It has to be the Hero [Melena Cohen], she was in charge of ending the war as a peace between the two states."

Anya interjects, "I don't think so, she was a mere figurehead, a means for diplomacy by the government... It says in the textbook."

"Still, she was the one who went into the middle of a battle and single handedly stopped them both from fighting. I'd say that was the most important point of the war."

Vera opens her mouth, "What Anya is saying is that while she may have been an important figure, she doesn't believe Hero Melena was the most influential."

Hmm, "Anya, since you object to Manfred's idea, tell us who yours is?"

Anya nods, "To me, Senator Jackson Penny was the most influential of the Hundred Days War."

Huh... I never thought of that... The Hundred Days War happend right before the union of the five states of Skaze. Where two opposing states were in a locked war. The South and West... technically Aster Academy where we are in, is in the western state. Back before the union, each state had their own government, and this meant their own government personnel.

Everyone in the room looked shocked, as Celia raised her hand,

"Instructor, I believe that is a ludicrous take, As Senator had no deal with the war whatsoever. I also agree with Manfred on Hero Melena being the most influential."
