Colet's confession

A week had passed since that night with Jhoanna, her confession still playing in your mind, lingering in the corners of your thoughts. The week had felt… lighter, as if the air around you wasn’t as thick. Yet, an unspoken tension lingered—you hadn’t talked to the other girls, even though you felt an urge to confront the feelings you had left unresolved.

Today, after your professor let the class out early, you found yourself walking down one of the campus’s quieter hallways. The usual chatter from classrooms and the sounds of footsteps were absent, leaving you in a comfortable silence. You briefly thought of heading to the library but dismissed it, knowing it was one of the places you’d often see Colet. You still hadn’t spoken to her since things had started to change with Jhoanna, and despite being ready to break that silence, you had no idea how to start.

Just as you passed by the band room, the door opened, and Colet stepped out, clutching a music book in her hand. The sight of you made her pause, her eyes widening slightly, a spark of excitement lighting up her face. Her mouth opened in a silent gasp, and you could see the hope flicker in her eyes as she took a step toward you, a small, eager smile forming on her lips.

“Y/N!” she called, her voice filled with surprise and joy. She started to jog toward you, her tone full of warmth. “Hey! Are you finally going to talk to me now?” she asked, her voice hopeful.

A flicker of amusement crossed your face, though you hid it well. With your expression purposefully blank, you walked right past her, your silence only serving to tease her further. You could feel her frustration grow as she hurried to keep up with you, walking slightly ahead so she could catch your gaze. Her eyebrows knit together, and she pouted, clearly annoyed.

“Y/N, come on! Don’t ignore me,” she said, her tone a mixture of playfulness and frustration, but you simply kept walking, letting her words wash over you without response.

When you reached a quieter part of campus, the grass field with only a few students scattered here and there, Colet let out a loud, exasperated sigh. She stopped in her tracks, her voice growing more impatient as she called out, “Y/N! Can you please stop ignoring me?!”

Hearing the frustration lacing her tone, you couldn’t help but stop, though you kept your back turned, waiting for her reaction. She let out another huff, and in a sudden burst of energy, she sprinted forward, her footsteps echoing in the empty field as she caught up to you.

You turned, mildly surprised by her persistence. Before you could process it, Colet’s hands were on your shoulders, gripping you firmly as she stepped in front of you, forcing you to look into her intense gaze.

“I can’t do this anymore, Y/N!” she exclaimed, her voice shaky, her face flushed with emotion. “I… I like you. I’ve liked you for so long, and I can’t stand this distance between us. You can’t just ignore me like this… not when I feel this way about you.”

Her confession hit you like a wave, leaving you momentarily speechless. Your mind struggled to catch up with her words, but before you could react, she surged forward, closing the distance between you. Her hands moved from your shoulders to your face, and then, in a single, bold motion, she pressed her lips against yours, her kiss filled with frustration, longing, and a desperation you hadn’t expected.

Her touch was firm, almost insistent, as if she was trying to convey everything she hadn’t been able to say. You felt a rush of warmth spread through you, her closeness stirring something deep within. Her hands slid down to your collar, pulling you closer, her lips moving against yours with a fierceness that left you breathless.
