The warnings will show off once it gets into the intense part.

The four stars

You sat in the middle of the bustling cafeteria with Aiah in front of you and Maloi by your side, stacks of papers scattered across the table. The chaotic hum of conversations, clinking silverware, and laughter surrounded you, but all you could think about was the mountain of assignments due tomorrow. You rubbed your temples, your frustration showing in the tightness of your jaw.

“Damn it, this is a fucking hell! This is actually impossible,” you muttered, letting out a low groan.

“Language, Y/N,” Aiah scolded lightly, her tone full of gentle concern as she reached over to tap your hand in motherly way. Her gaze softened when she saw the weary look in your eyes.

You sighed deeply, leaning back in your chair. “I swear, hell week is the absolute worst. I feel like I’m drowning,” you said, rubbing your eyes, hoping the pressure would somehow alleviate the stress.

As you closed your eyes, a pair of hands covered them from behind. A grin tugged at your lips despite your exhaustion—you didn’t even have to look to know who it was. “Staks,” you laughed softly. “If you don’t get your hands off me, I’m going to tickle you until you beg for mercy.”

“Wow, big threats from Little Miss Overworked here,” Stacey quipped as she released you and slid into the seat on your left. Her eyes sparkled mischievously, her usual energy seeming to lift the tension, if only for a moment.

You playfully elbowed her, trying to keep up with her lightheartedness. “One of these days, Stacey, I swear…”

Before you could finish, Sheena joined in, sitting across from you with a grin. “Oh, don’t tempt her, Stacey. You know Y/N means it. She got that ‘I’m about to snap’ vibe today.”

Maloi leaned in, shaking her head with a small smile. “Don’t make it worse for her, you two. She’s been cursing out her assignments all day and staring at it as if she could burn it.”

“How I wish, you guys have no idea,” you muttered, rubbing your temples again. “I swear, if I see one more research paper and pending plates, I’m going to lose it. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this burned out in my life.”

Stacey looked at you, her smile softening as she saw how genuinely stressed you were. “Y/N, seriously. You need a break. It’s not healthy to push yourself this hard.”

Sheena nodded in agreement. “Exactly. Aiah’s been telling us about your late nights in the library, by the way. Girl, when do you sleep?”

“I’ll sleep when I have less work to do,” you mumbled, trying to laugh it off, but even you could hear the strain in your own voice.

Stacey leaned in, her hand coming to rest on your shoulder. “Come on, Y/N, don’t brush it off. We’re serious. You can’t keep burning yourself out like this.”

Aiah squeezed your hand, her eyes full of concern. “Y/N, we’re here for you, alright? You’re like family to us, and family doesn’t let each other crash and burn. Whatever you need, we’ll make sure you’re not alone.”

You felt your throat tighten as the weight of their words sank in. The burden you’d been carrying felt a little lighter with them there, yet the thought of failing still loomed over you. “It’s just… I can’t afford to mess up, guys. You all know that. If I let my grades slip, I risk losing my scholarship. I don’t have the fallback options like you all do.”
