Colet: Unspoken Bonds

You took a deep breath as you sat on the edge of Colet's bed, watching her across the room as she tuned her guitar, her fingers gliding effortlessly over the strings. Months had passed since you met her, Gwen, Mikha, and Jhoanna, and in that time, everything seemed to shift in ways you couldn’t quite explain. The weekends were still claimed by your friends Aiah, Stacey, Sheena, and Maloi, who somehow managed to pull you out of the room every Saturday, dragging you to their own “friendly dates” to make sure you didn’t disappear into your studies completely. But you knew, deep down, that meeting Colet and the others had already changed you in ways your friends didn't notice.

You weren’t sure what to make of it all. With each of them, it was different but special. You and Gwen had spent peaceful afternoons in the garden, the soft rustle of leaves and the warmth of quiet moments filling the air. Then there was Mikha, with her red hair and playful charm, who always knew exactly how to lift your spirits. Discovering she was the volleyball captain only added to the surprise, and her athletic, competitive side intrigued you more than you wanted to admit. Jhoanna, with her gentle but firm approach, had somehow taken up the role of unofficial caretaker, cooking for you when she noticed how drained you were from school, despite all her jokes about you being the chef in your shared dorm room. She made it her mission to pull you out of your stress, her quiet determination as comforting as it was confusing.

But Colet… She was a whole other mystery. The way she looked at you, her soft smiles, and those fleeting touches had you constantly wondering if she saw you as a friend—or maybe something more. At the first week after you met colet, you'd initially kept your distance when you found out she was a popular band singer on campus, almost ditching her altogether to avoid any unnecessary attention. But Colet had laughed it off, brushing aside your concerns, still keeping you close breaking your guarded walls and assured you that she didn’t care what others thought. All she cared about was being around with you.

As Colet finished strumming the last note on her guitar, she glanced up at you, her gaze warm but uncertain. You shifted slightly on the bed, feeling a little shy under her steady gaze. Her guitar rested by her side now, her fingers idly grazing the strings as if she wanted to say something but wasn’t sure how. Finally, she broke the silence.

"I didn’t think you’d come," she murmured, a small smile breaking through her expression. "It’s been a while since we really got to hang out. You’re usually buried in work or hanging out with your friends."

You chuckled softly, rubbing the back of your neck. “Yeah, I guess I’ve been kind of… busy. I didn’t mean to disappear on you, though.”

Colet waved a hand, brushing off the comment. “I get it. You’re important to a lot of people. They all want a piece of Y/N.” She laughed, her tone light but with an undertone you couldn’t quite read.

“Am I really that important?” you teased, nudging her shoulder.

Colet’s expression softened, and she looked down, her fingers tracing along the guitar’s edge. “Maybe more than you know,” she admitted, almost too quietly for you to hear.

You blinked, feeling a strange warmth spread in your chest. She was looking at you now, her eyes holding something gentle but intense. The silence between you felt charged, like an invisible thread connecting you both. “I’m glad we’re spending time together now,” you said, breaking the silence.

Colet’s face lit up, and she shifted closer, her knee brushing against yours. “Actually… I wanted to ask you something.” She took a breath, hesitating. “Would you… want to stay here tonight? Just us? I thought it might be fun to… you know, have a sleepover.” Her voice softened, and she reached out, gently squeezing your hand. “I’ve kind of been wanting to just… spend time with you without anything getting in the way.”
