Jungkook blinked sleepily as he felt the warm weight on his chest and looked down to see Taehyung nestled against him, his face calm and serene. A soft smile crept onto Jungkook’s lips as he brushed his fingers through Taehyung’s hair, marveling at how peaceful he looked. Moments like these were rare, and Jungkook cherished every one of them. Taehyung was usually up early, always busy with work, or keeping an eye out for him like some kind of personal knight. But here he was, tangled up with Jungkook, looking completely relaxed and vulnerable.

Jungkook thought to himself how lucky he was to have someone like Taehyung—a person who seemed like he’d walked out of a romance novel. It was funny, actually, because he’d once thought guys like Taehyung didn’t exist outside of fiction. But here he was, right in his arms. He chuckled softly, careful not to wake Taehyung, and whispered to himself, “How did I get so lucky?”

As he lay there, he thought about all the ways Taehyung took care of him, big and small. Whether it was stocking up on his endless supply of boba tea, helping him set up his studio, or dealing with his little quirks and occasional stubbornness, Taehyung handled it all with a gentle patience that left Jungkook in awe. Most people would probably roll their eyes or complain, but Taehyung only ever responded with that soft smile and warm gaze that made Jungkook feel so loved.

Suddenly, Taehyung shifted slightly, his brow furrowing as if he sensed Jungkook’s gaze. Slowly, his eyes fluttered open, and a sleepy smile appeared on his face when he saw Jungkook looking down at him.

“Morning,” Taehyung murmured, his voice raspy with sleep as he nuzzled closer to Jungkook, seeming content to stay in his embrace a little longer.

“Good morning, hyungie,” Jungkook replied softly, wrapping his arms around Taehyung a little tighter. “I like you like this—calm and sleepy. You’re always running around, protecting me or working. This is… different.”

Taehyung chuckled, pressing his cheek against Jungkook’s chest. “Well, I have to protect you, don’t I? My precious boba addict.” His voice was teasing, but Jungkook could feel the genuine warmth behind his words.

Jungkook pouted playfully. “Hey, I’m not just a boba addict! I’m also…” he trailed off, trying to think, before giving up with a laugh. “Okay, maybe I am just a boba addict. But you love me anyway.”

Taehyung lifted his head slightly to look at him, his eyes soft. “I love everything about you, Jungkook. Boba obsession, quirks, and all.”

Jungkook’s heart skipped a beat as Taehyung leaned in to give him a soft, lingering kiss. It was a simple moment, quiet and intimate, but to Jungkook, it felt like everything. As they pulled apart, he grinned up at Taehyung and whispered, “You’re the best, hyungie. The best fiancé, the best… everything.”

They stayed like that for a while, savoring the warmth and comfort of each other’s embrace. And in that cozy morning light, wrapped up together, they both felt certain of one thing—this was just the beginning of a lifetime of mornings spent together, side by side, each making the other’s life a little brighter.

Taehyung gently lifted Jungkook into his arms, cradling him so that Jungkook was now resting comfortably on his chest. Jungkook looked up, blinking sleepily but with a hint of excitement in his eyes.

“Hyungie,” Jungkook murmured, nestling closer, “I have a party to go to it’s for one of my classmates. Can you drop me off? And maybe… pick me up later too?”

Taehyung smiled, his eyes crinkling as he looked at Jungkook who now lay sprawled across him, his arms tucked comfortably around Taehyung’s neck. Jungkook’s wide, innocent eyes stared back, filled with a mixture of excitement and a hint of pleading that Taehyung couldn’t possibly resist. He gently brushed a stray lock of hair away from Jungkook's face, his heart swelling with warmth at how adorable Jungkook looked.
