Jungkook sat cross-legged in front of his laptop, finger poised over the refresh button, biting his lip as he anxiously sipped on his fifth bobba tea in an hour. His nerves were a mess, and the sweet drink didn't help him calm down at all. Every few minutes, he'd refresh the results page, heart thumping, only to be met with nothing. His pout deepened each time, getting a little more dramatic with each empty refresh.
"Ughhh, seriously," Jungkook muttered, flopping back against the couch. "How can hyungie just leave me alone today? Doesn't he know I need him here to-" He cut himself off, sipping another large gulp of bobba tea, rolling his eyes in frustration. "Some fiancé he is, leaving me here to suffer all alone on the most important day!"
With a dramatic sigh, Jungkook huffed and leaned forward, hitting the refresh button once again. His thoughts began spiraling as he waited, impatiently tapping his fingers on the table. What if I fail? What if my score's just average? Or what if I pass but don't get high enough marks? Hyungie would probably be proud anyway, but still... what if it's not enough?
He gulped, feeling a lump form in his throat. Then his thoughts shifted, and he let out another pout. But wait... what if I actually do really well? Jungkook brightened, eyes lighting up with a mischievous glint. If I pass with high marks, I should teach hyungie a lesson for ditching me today. Maybe I'll ignore him for a whole week... or make him take me out on endless dates... or buy me a year's supply of bobba tea!
He grinned to himself, but his confidence quickly wavered. "No, that's silly... he'd never... oh, what if he doesn't even care?" he muttered, sighing loudly, feeling a mix of nerves and longing for hyungie's comforting presence.
Just then, the page finally loaded, revealing his results. Jungkook's eyes went wide as he read his scores-he'd done it! He'd passed with high marks! His excitement surged, and he couldn't help but do a little celebratory dance in his seat, practically bouncing with joy. But then he remembered... hyungie wasn't here to share this moment.
With a slightly pouty frown, he crossed his arms and muttered, "Hmph, some fiancé he is, missing my big moment! He better be ready to make up for it."
Just then, the front door opened, and Jungkook heard footsteps. Taehyung's familiar voice called out, "Bobba? I'm home!"
Jungkook straightened up but quickly tried to mask his excitement, crossing his arms and turning away dramatically as Taehyung walked in. Taehyung paused when he saw Jungkook sulking in his seat, surrounded by empty bobba cups. "Did you drink all of these?"
Jungkook huffed, refusing to look at him. "Maybe."
Taehyung smirked, recognizing the pout in his bobba's voice. He moved closer, kneeling down to be at eye level with Jungkook. "Aww, why is my bobba pouting? Did the results come in?"
Jungkook gave a dramatic sigh, still not looking at him. "Oh, now you remember! Funny how you were too busy to be here when they actually came out." His voice was filled with an exaggerated sense of hurt, but he was clearly enjoying playing the part.
Taehyung laughed softly, reaching out to cup Jungkook's cheek. "I'm sorry, bobba. Work ran over, and I couldn't get away sooner. But I'm here now, aren't I? So... how did it go?"
Jungkook bit his lip, trying to keep his pouty expression, but the excitement was bubbling up, and he couldn't hold it back any longer. "I passed, hyungie!" he exclaimed, practically throwing himself into Taehyung's arms. "And I did so well! See? I told you I could do it!"
Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jungkook, grinning from ear to ear as he held him close. "I knew you could, bobba! I'm so proud of you! And I'm so sorry for not being here sooner."
