The day had finally arrived, a momentous occasion for Jungkook as he was about to receive the award for Best Celebrity Photographer in South Korea. It was his first significant achievement in his career, and his emotions were a whirlwind of excitement, nerves, and disbelief.
He paced around the dressing room in their mansion, fidgeting with the hem of his blazer, his monologue in full swing. “Oh my gosh, what if I trip while going up the stage? Or or what if I forget my speech? Hyungie always makes it look so easy when he gives those acceptance speeches, but me? What if I stammer or say something weird?”
Jungkook paused, turning to look at the mirror, only to shake his head at himself. “What if they think I don’t deserve it? I mean, there are so many talented photographers out there. Oh no, what if they regret choosing me?”
Taehyung entered the room just in time to hear the last part of Jungkook’s rambling. He walked over, placing his hands on Jungkook’s shoulders, and turned him around gently. “Bobba,” he said with a soft smile, his voice full of reassurance. “You earned this award. It’s not about anyone else it’s about you and your hard work, your talent, and the passion you put into every photo you take. No one deserves this more than you.”
Jungkook looked up at him with wide, teary doe eyes. “Hyungie, what if I mess up on stage? What if I say something silly? Everyone’s going to be watching!”
Taehyung chuckled, cupping Jungkook’s cheeks and leaning his forehead against his. “If you say something silly, it’ll be the most adorable thing ever, just like everything else you do. And you’re not alone, bobba. I’ll be right there in the audience, cheering for you.”
Jungkook nodded hesitantly, his nerves calming a little under Taehyung’s tender gaze. “Okay, Hyungie. I’ll try my best.”
That evening, as Jungkook stood backstage waiting for his name to be called, he peeked out into the audience and spotted Taehyung sitting in the front row, his eyes filled with pride. It gave Jungkook the strength he needed.
When his name was announced, the applause was deafening. Jungkook walked onto the stage, his heart pounding but his resolve firm. He accepted the award with slightly trembling hands, glancing at Taehyung, who mouthed, You’ve got this.
Jungkook took a deep breath, stepped up to the microphone, and began his speech. “This is… surreal. I never imagined standing here and holding this award in my hands,” he started, his voice soft but steady. “I want to thank my husband, Taehyung, who has always believed in me, even when I doubted myself. He’s my rock, my biggest supporter, and the love of my life.”
The crowd erupted in applause, and Jungkook saw Taehyung give him a proud thumbs-up. For the first time that day, Jungkook felt truly confident, knowing he had Taehyung by his side, cheering him on every step of the way.
As soon as Jungkook uttered the word “husband” during his acceptance speech, the camera panned across the audience to capture their reactions. While the room was filled with applause and admiration, one particular face stood out Min Seok, the rising actor who had recently worked with Jungkook.
Seated at one of the back tables, Min Seok clenched his fists tightly, his jaw tense as his face turned sour. His expression was a mixture of anger and determination. His thoughts spiraled darkly, Jungkook-shii, you will be mine. Either by title or by fate. Once I decide I want something, I make sure I get it. No one, not even your husband, can stop me.
Unable to mask his emotions any longer, Min Seok abruptly stood up and stormed out of the venue. His sudden departure didn’t go unnoticed. Whispers rippled through the room as media cameras followed his exit. It was a highly unprofessional move, especially for a newbie actor still making his mark in the industry.
