Alexandra

I feel so good I don't even want to wake up. But it happens anyway. My eyes open as I turn on my side but I can't see anyone. The door is closed and I look at my phone on the bedside table.

11 o'clock. I missed school. Why did no one wake me up?

I frown and sit up in my bed, then my eyes widen remembering what happened last night. It explains why I kind of have a headache and why I slept so well, Warren was cuddling with me.

I groaned when I realized I broke down in front of him. He must think I'm pathetic now.

There is a knock on the door. "Alex?"

It's Warren.

I wish I could avoid him forever after last night. I'm embarrassed.

"Alex?" He knocks again. When he gets no response I can hear his footsteps walking away.

I sigh and decide to sleep again. I don't want to ever meet any of them again. They make me feel frustrated. Well, everyone except for Ellie. I wonder when will she come here again? Or maybe she won't now that I'm here. Maybe she doesn't like me either.

___________

"Her phone is broken."  The words are mumbled as I try to get more sleep. How long was it. I don't understand what's going on and why there are people in my room.

"You looked at her phone?" That was Warren's voice. Why is he still here? Doesn't he work? I don't open my eyes even though I'm awake now.

"Hey, I didn't look through. I couldn't. She has a password but look." There is a silence in the room as Oliver shows my phone to Warren.

"It probably fell down on the ground and broke so what? I'll tell Damien to get her a new one."

No brother. If you only knew it's broken because your sweet grandfather, Jonathan and Caleb wanted to meet so much, threw it at me.

"Let's go, she's asleep." Warren walks to the window and shuts the curtains so the sun wouldn't wake me up.

Should I wait till they're out to open my eyes and get up. What time is it anyways?

"They came back." Oliver tells Warren as he looks out of the window.

"Great." Warren replied sarcastically.

Who came back? Maybe the twins. Okay, this is torture I'm getting up.

I open my eyes and pretend I just woke up. "Why are you guys in my room?" I ask as both of them are looking out of the window and not paying attention that I'm sat up in my bed now.

Oliver flinches and turns around quickly. "I brought you food!" He explains in hurry like he doesn't want to be blamed.

I chuckle and he sighs in relief that I'm not mad.

Warren turns around next and walks to my bed. I don't know what to say to him so I stay quiet.

"Your phones broken." He says in a matter-of-fact tone.

I nod my head.

"Did Caleb upset you last night?"

Do you even care?

"Did he?" He asks again and takes a step towards me. I look up at his face. I think he's the only brother whose emotions I can't read. I don't know what he's feeling. He's looking at me with narrowed eyes like he wants to figure something out.

"Does it matter?" I mumbled to myself. Even if he upset me, or yelled at me or scared me. Would any of them even care? They'd take Caleb's side because he's their brother. The one they grew up with and the one they're not annoyed with.

Warren doesn't say anything for a while and the room is silent. He glaces at Oliver and he signals something with his eyes. Oliver smiled awkwardly. "I'm gonna go see what they're up to."

"Who-"

"The twins. They came back."

My eyes widen. "It's already 3 o'clock?"

I slept for another 4 hours.

Warren nods his head. He's frozen like he's thinking about something and after a while he sighs and sits on the corner of my bed.

"Alexandra, if Caleb did something you have to tell me so it doesn't happen again. He said he yelled at you and you probably got scared is that right?"

I nodded my head.

He hummed and continued, "Did he do anything more?"

I decide to tell him the truth, even if I'm not good at knowing people's intentions, now looking at his eyes it feels like he cares about me. Maybe he does. He was there for me last night.

"I told him to leave but he didn't and he hit my desk, I thought he was going to hit me next." I tell him the truth and I can feel my voice getting lower at the end. Tears well up in my eyes so I turn my head to the side.

I was never good at expressing how I feel. I always feel like people are going to use it to hurt me. And I feel so vulnerable.

Warren nods his head and his hands turn into fists. "Really?" He asks through gritted teeth.

I nod my head and get up. "I'm going to shower." I tell him so he gets the cue to walk out.

Warren nods his head even though it seems like he's somewhere else with his thoughts.

He gets up and starts towards the room but then stops and turns to face me. "If you have any problems you can come to me. I'll help you and..."

He's contemplating whether to say his next words or not.

"And?" I ask. I want to know what he was about to say.

"I'll always be there for you."

My eyes widen when I realize why he told me that. Yesterday I made him promise he wouldn't leave me.

He smiles and walks out.

Warren smiled at me? What's wrong with him? I mean, what happened?

I can't keep myself from smiling either. Warren smiled at me. He promised he'd always be here for me, that he wouldn't leave me.

I hope he's not lying.

Third pov

Even before Damien walked into the living room, he could hear the shouting. He was so sick of his siblings arguing with each other. They couldn't deal anything with simply talking.

He needed a vacation. Maybe he'd take Alex with him to get to know her.

"What's going on?" He asked in his authoritative tone. Warren who was about to punch Caleb across the jaw stopped in the midway. Jonathan and Oliver who were standing behind Caleb and Warren also stopped trying to intervine in their fight and turned to look at Damien.

Where's Alex? Was his first thought.

"Damien, you're here. Finally." Jonathan came to and told him how Warren was accusing Caleb of things he hadn't done and how he was about to hit him.

Damien sighed in annoyance as other people also stared talking. "Stop!" He yelled and everyone shut up.

"You!" He pointed his finger to Warren. "And you!" He turned to Caleb. "In my office now." They didn't have to be told twice. Both Warren and Caleb walked upstairs waiting for Damien.

"Cook the dinner meanwhile." He told Oliver who was about to protest that it was Warren's turn but Damien disregarded him by waving his hands.

"That's rude." Oliver called after him as he walked up the stairs.

"Sucks for you." Jonathan smirked as he sat on the sofa and started playing some game.

Oliver groaned and petted his cat who bumped into his legs. "You're the only one who cares about me, Barry." The cat meowed like it was agreeing with Ollie.
