Alexandra
"What are you doing here Damon?" Warren's accusatory tone made her feel like she could tell him the truth. It seemed like Warren already had an idea as to why Damon was here and he was pissed about it.
Damon's eyes darted to me and I could see the warning in them. "I was just talking to Alexandra."
Damien pulled away from our hug and turned to stare at his cousin. "Why did she scream if you were only talking?" Warren asked as he grabbed Damon's collar.
"She was upset because of Xavier. She thought Damien would make her go live with us and she hated the idea of it." Damon sounded so convincing and I lost hope. There's no way anyone would believe me now.
"Are you okay?" Damien whispered and after a nod from me, he got up staring at Warren. "Let him go."
Warren turned to look at Damien with disbelief. "You actually believe him?"
"Why were you hiding in a closet then?" Warren turned his attention to Damon once again. "I just didn't want you guys to jump to conclusions just like what you're doing now." Damon chuckled as he finished talking and Warren scoffed. "You must think we're fools huh?"
"Warren let him go, he explained himself." Damon smirked at Damien's words and Warren clenched his jaw. "Ask Alexandra, if you don't believe me." Damon was so sure of himself that it made me disgusted with him. He didn't even think what he'd done earlier was wrong.
Warren shook his head and slowly let Damon go. He fixed his collar and rubbed his hands against each other like he was cleaning them. "I'm gonna sleep now."
"Goodnight Alexandra. I'm sorry if I upset you." He left without another word.
Warren turned to us and walked to where I was sitting on the bed. "Alexandra if he did anything more than that, you have to tell me."
Damien looked offended at Warren's words. "He's our cousin Warren, what do you think he did?"
"I don't know, why he was hiding in a bloody closet!" Warren snapped at his brother.
Damien sighed and looked at me with a soft gaze. "I'm not letting anyone take you from here okay? You don't have to worry about that. You belong here. With us."
I nodded my head. I was actually worried about it since Damon made it seem like everyone agreed to Xavier's offer.
"I'll talk to Damon." Damien left and closed the door behind him.
It was just me and Warren now. He looked troubled. He was standing next to my bed and it felt like he wanted to say something but he couldn't force himself to utter those words.
"Alexandra," His tone was gentle now, "If Damon did something, you have to tell me. Just like you told me about Caleb. I believed you then. I'll believe you now."
But this case is different. Caleb yelled at me while Damon wanted to assault me sexually. Considering the fact they're cousins I don't think he'll believe me.
I shook my head, I didn't want to talk about it now. I just wanted to sleep but I wouldn't feel safe even in my room if Damon was staying here.
That's why once Warren turned around, about to walk away, I reached out and grabbed his arm.
He frowned at my gesture. "Will you stay with me tonight?" I already stayed with him before and I knew he didn't have any wrong intentions. I don't think anyone from my family would ever treat me like that but I was scared of Damon and if Warren stayed with me, he wouldn't dare come back.
He nodded his head and came to lie beside me. "Damien is right Alex. You don't have to worry, as long as I'm here no one can take you away." I nodded my head at his words and closed my eyes.
